Please. Wear the correct gear. Its a well done, informative video, you don't ride recklessly, popping wheelies etc, so consequently I am slightly surprised you're a squid. Yes, I'm sure it's hot where you live but come off that bike badly and you will learn the hard way.
@KSSTUDIOS3 жыл бұрын
I appreciate your concern, but I'm guessing that you did not make it until the end of the video where I had full gear on. I'm a strong advocate of riding with full gear and I rarely take chances with my safety but in this case, I unexpectedly took delivery of this bike a couple of days before my new gear arrived. My previous gear was donated to a new rider in need a few months prior when I traded in my last bike. Thanks for watching.

What's proper gear? This guys fine in a helmet & gloves and I hope he has jeans on lol. to me a squid is someone with ZERO gear on, hat backwards shorts and haling ass. LOL Clearly his gloves could be better.. I have a decent jacket but normally don't wear it. I always wear helmet and gloves jeans and boots. So what's your definition of proper gear cause someone might say your not wearing PROPER gear.. Like hey are those 120 $ armor pants .. NO, then your a squid lol. Hey how bout that 100 $ jacket aint going to do shit for you squid get a high end 600 one or nothing.. LOL see how we can all play these games. Oh WHY ARENT YOU WEARING HIGH VIZE SQUID get the proper gear LOLOL Are those riding boots LOL shut the hell up at least he had gloves and helmet. TROLL

These are under appreciated motorcycles. Durable, great fuel economy, safe, and reasonably priced. Agree these are really road bikes, not to be confused with an African Twin or KTM Adventure motorcycle. Mine is a couple generations older than yours: 700xd. Love the DCT, 60,000 trouble-free miles including a couple of intense long distance rides (two Iron Butt rides). Plan on keeping it till I can beat the 144,000 miles I put on my GL1800 :-) Nice informative review, TY

I've got a NC700 from 2012 and went from NC to AZ as the second owner, I don't see any reason to change it besides finding I like cruisers more but that's it. Come reviewers throw the buzzword of "commuter" in most reviews but really you can do anything with it with the right modifications.

Great, Honest Review 👏 It’s very refreshing to have a review from someone who actually owns the bike, it’s tough to tell if someone is being completely honest during a review if the manufacturer or dealer is the one supplying the bike, could be a little conflict of interest there. You did a Great and Thorough job. I put a deposit on one (2021 NC750X) a few months back and I’m supposed to be receiving it in the next week (I live in California). I was hesitant for a while because of certain people saying the bike was boring, had no soul, and was really slow. I’m 53 now and currently ride a 2020 ninja 400, and honestly the 400 has enough power for me, I don’t care for massive power anymore. I’m looking for an all around, relaxing, middleweight bike that I can take anywhere, with enough power to get the occasional adrenaline rush. From the reviews I’ve seen the NC seems near perfect for me. Thanks 😊
@KSSTUDIOS3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment. I hope you like your NC750X as much as I like mine! It's a lot of fun. For me, it feels like the bike I should have had all along if that makes any sense 😀

It absolutely makes sense, I really feel that now, at this time in my life. My good Buddy rides an Aprilia Tuono with 170 hp, he just can’t fathom the fact that I want a bike with 58 hp, let alone an Automatic… He literally acts like he’ll disown me and never ride with me again if I get this bike… hahaha Wait till I show up at his door with it… 😳

That's the kind of review I like - Thank you. I'm currently commuting on a 2013 NC700X-DCT and still super happy with it. It's my daily, stress-free workhorse. Rain, wind, nighttime, heat, heavy city traffic, potholes, freezing winter, heavy luggage.... nothing matters - It'll do everything. But at some point I'll probably upgrade for no reason. :) Happy commuting! You'll have that bike for a long time!

I have the 2017 model before ride by wire in the 21 model. The DCT knows how wide open you make the throttle and if you snap it open fast it will kick into a temporary sport mode and hold the gears for longer. Particularly fun from the lights it will surprise a lot of other vehicles. If you are cruising in 6th and you need to overtake punch it down to 4th and snap the throttle wide and it goes fine. It’s quick enough up to 80 and can go faster although the power begins to tail off.

Lucky fellow! lovely new bike. I have a 2019 version. Another advantage of the unusual fuel tank position is that the tank itself is a lot lower than the conventional position. This adds to the really low centre of gravity of this bike. The engine, being levelled to accomodate the "frunk" or huge storage bin also lowers the centre of gravity. This all makes the bike extremely easy to throw about in traffic etc.

I own a Honda 2021 ADV 150 (DCT) and love how easy the process is. If I decide to upgrade my bike this is one I am leaning towards. At my age (53) I prefer the ease of use and functionality of over-complicated bikes. Not that shifting is difficult for me, but DCT is what I prefer. It's a pleasurable experience. I've owned traditional motorcycles (manual) in the past and it just comes down to personal preference. The ADV 150 is fine for my use right now, but I would like a tad more power and seat comfort I'm finding. We shall see! Thanks for the video.

These are great bikes. I particularly enjoy the fact they are so forgiving to ride. They won't spit you off if you open her up before you are upright as you come out of a bend, they won't pull an unexpected wheelie when you gun it from the lights, but they will leave most cars standing. Centre of gravity so low they are a piece of cake to manoeuvre around, and so frugal (I can get mine to do 100mpg when I try, and almost always 75mpg when I don't try) that the 3.8 gallon fuel tank is academic as it will do way in excess of 200 miles between fill ups. Throw in the 'frunk' and you have yourself a bike that while not brilliant at anything in particular is not far off the consummate machine. If Honda gave it shaft drive and added cruise control it would be unbeatable. As it is it's just brilliant.

If people are unhappy with it shifting during a corner, just use manual mode. Automatic is great for riding in city traffic. That’s what I would do.

I own the 2018 NC750X DCT and use it as a commuter and occasional weekend runs. It is not an adventure bike at all. Should be in the standard category. The new model is even more street with lower suspension making room for mid sized adventure coming next year. It does everything I want and need. Super reliable and can be fun. Improvements would be better seat, I adjusted the seat angle which helped a lot, cruise control would be nice but not required and self cancelling indicators would be a bonus. I added a clip on windscreen extension which cut wind buffeting noise 50% still allowing air to helmet vents. I also added a 40mm handlebar extension which made it super comfortable, a bit higher and closer with zero forward lean now. Im 6 ft. DCT is great. I override it on downshifts to engine brake mostly. Sport keeps the revs up around 2.5K-3K with far less shifting. Occasionally will put it in manual mode and shift myself but mostly just sport mode if wanting a more fun ride. Nice improvements to the new model but it's basically the same bike. Nice review.

I enjoyed your video on your new NC750x DCT. I've been watching every thing I can about the bike. At first, my thoughts were to go with the manual trans due to the added 20lbs weight which is an issue, but I'm impressed as to how smooth the shifting is. I'm now starting looking for DCT rather than the manual in my shopping preference. Not a lot of them in the US, and 2023's offerings from Honda are even more limited than before, but I'm getting convinced. Thank you for a very honest and straight up informative video about the bike. I've just subscribed and I will be watching more. Doug

Congrats on the bike! I didn't put the deposit down so I'm S.O.L. for now. They are sold out it seems until 2022.

Thanks! You might get lucky and stumble across one. My pre-order in Scottsdale wasn't expected until August and I found one (through cycle trader) at a dealer in Chandler that wasn't spoken for. The dealer hadn't even put it out on the sales floor yet 😀

In the US? There’s no way there that much demand for an NC, even if it’s newly redesigned. They’re just not that popular here. I see several dealers near me that have them available.

Im looking for this model from a while and it seems a very smart bike! The only thing that i really don't like is the swingarm... It seems a cutted chair leg.

Great review. I think I am all caught up with your NC reviews and pretty much convinced to trade in my Goldwing on one. I think 2022s are out now but from what I've seen, no real change. Just one question for you. You mentioned that you wish Honda would go with the tft display vs lcd. Does it bother you enough that you would wait for a 2023 at this point? No idea what 2023 will bring so might wait and still not get the tft.

I have tried the former iteration of this and hoped it would be my next bike. Unfortunately it didn't fit me at all and felt really awkward. The rule is; try before you buy, of course. Also tried the Africa Twin with DCT. That was better for my body, but wasn't good on hard-top. I'll keep searching, as my Moto Guzzi Stelvio (perfect fit for me) is very heavy and LOUD!

Great review, thank you. Love the looks of this bike, and I am very curious about the DCT. I think I would love it, but with no cruise control and no TFT screen it's heartbreaking. Really like the sound of that Honda parallel twin.
@SvanbergSimon3 жыл бұрын
X-adv and forza 750 has tft screen. I also miss cruise control. I think it’s more logical to install that than useless riding modes. Too bad cruise control almost only comes on bikes that weigh north of 500 pounds.

Great video! Thanks for sharing! I just put my deposit down for one. Quick question: how is it to u-turn without a clutch to feather?
@KSSTUDIOS3 жыл бұрын
Doing U-turns with the DCT takes a little getting used to. I just use the rear brake to adjust my speed for U-turns and slower turns.

I have a 2016 I ride in Sport 2. Hopefully your dealer was generous... I hooked up my battery tender and just ran the lead out of the top of the battery access cover. Is the seat still brutal lol? I see they at least leveled it out after 6-7 years of production.
@KSSTUDIOS3 жыл бұрын
I've got about 500 miles on the stock seat so far and it's still doing great. The aftermarket seats probably offer more comfort, but it's not nearly as bad as the previous ones.

Adventure is many things! Most people are probably thinking sandy dunes, stream crossings, rough climbs up steep hills, muddy conditions, bush and branches, tenting, campfires in boot camps et cetera. Well...that´s one interpretation. And I´ve done all that. Did I love it? To be dead honest with you: No. On paper, or on screen rather these days, it all seems both appealing and exciting. Because you may imagine yourself a person with the competence and riding capability no less than Pol Tarres. That is until you lie nose deep in a dune of sand or get stuck in a marsh on some wicked trail in a forest. So I, for one, are NOT eager thinking of the term ´adventure´ to that extent. You don´t have to either, in order to justify using the term ´adventure´ and ´motorcycling´ in connotation to one another. This bike, which I´ve just purchased is of course also adventure, but does you the favour of not letting you get stuck in those cumbersome and frankly said; idiotic situations: It´s simply adventure on paved roads. Stick to that, and you´ll have plenty of adventurous experiences without the hassle already mentioned. But every person to himself/herself, I guess. Oh, nice video btw!

Hello from Belgium, nice video retracing this DCT model that I have also had since October 2021, for my part for the small gaps on this machine I would be for a slightly larger fuel tank, a second front brake caliper ( securing two on the vehicle) and fitting touring tires because that is its main vocation, what do you think?
@KSSTUDIOS3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing. I agree that those updates would make it better, but I think Honda saved all of those features for the new NT1100. I'll be testing one of those as soon as I can.
@MrFagnymichel3 жыл бұрын
@@KSSTUDIOS Hello, Your answer is consistent with the 1100 engine but it is not at all the same price which I believe remains accessible compared to other brands. cordially

Good review. I have the 2017 model. I like the higher seat height but not the seat angle. You mentioned that you didn't notice the lower height and felt it was more comfortable. You prefer the new seating position ?
@KSSTUDIOS3 жыл бұрын
The new seat is definitely more comfortable and the seat angle has been improved. It's such a subtle seat height difference to me that it's barely noticeable. It's still a good riding position for someone of my height (6 ft.)

What do you think about the Rebel 1100 DCT? I have one on order but perhaps the NC is a better everyday bike!? I also have lower back issues and I never had a cruiser before.
@KSSTUDIOS3 жыл бұрын
My first bike was a Rebel 300 and I'm very familiar with this model. I think the 1100 DCT is a really nice bike if that riding position is comfortable for you. I couldn't handle it with my back issues and have been much happier since switching to a taller bike. Hopefully you will be able to test ride before buying to make sure it's a good fit.

How was it when counter steering around curves? With it being a little bit heavier bike than others in its class, I’m wondering how responsive it was when counter steering, and if it handles well in curves? Also how is it at slow speed maneuvering?
@KSSTUDIOS2 жыл бұрын
I didn't find any problems with counter steering or slow speed maneuvering. Being a DCT model, I had to get comfortable using the rear brake for speed control during slow speed situations since there is no clutch lever on this bike. That being said, there are many other bikes that have better handling in curves.

... WELL DONE video! ... in my opinion this 'new concept' bike offers even more ... concerning environment / climate change / green footprint ... there are only 82g/km Co2 emission and only 3,5 l/100km fuel consumption! ... GREAT FOR TOURING - this bike is light-weight (only 214 kg full filled up / without DCT) ... it has a low center of gravity ... it offers this extra storage space ... there are different packages by HONDA to pimp it up (urban / travel / adventure) - and a relativ moderate price! ... OK - I would not take it for a real off-road trip - BUT - for touring on-road this is a great choice! ... AND - there are many extras you can buy from different producers to personalize this bike! (SW-Motech; Hepco&Becker; Puig etc.) ... GREAT HONDA! ... Greetings and best wishes from Austria!

Hi, what did you use to record your speaking to gopro while riding? I have gopro 7 blck and can't find any wireless solution to get this clear sound.

I use a GoPro Hero 9 with the media mod attachment. I run a mic straight to the back of the media mod into the helmet. If the helmet is quiet enough it's pretty easy to get a decent recording. I have a new helmet on the way that I'll be testing out soon!
