Great video, I used it to guide in the replacement of the bumper cover on my 2020 Rav4 XLE Premium. Only issue I ran into was that "If you have mudflaps" the new bumper cover is not predrilled and each side must be drilled out to accept two phillip head screws used to secure flap to the inside of wheel well. Also you must remove and reuse 4 metal clips from old bumper cover to attach mud flaps to new cover. (metal clips for mud guards (2 per side) are similar clips that are shown in video which are used to attach side panel to bumper cover). We discovered the new cover was not predrilled and mud flap clips were needed only after we had already installed the new cover. We chose to remove the rear tires to gain access to the required areas to drill and install clips, as opposed to removing the new cover and having to reinstall again. Thanks for video. Super job.

Thank you so very much. I damaged my bumper while backing up. After replacing the door on a different Toyota (sienna) with the great help of videos such as this, I am so very happy. I can do this! Just the cost of parts. LOL. Seriously, you are wonderful.

Excellent video. Clearly explains a daunting task. Based on your video I'm going to try replacing my panel myself!! I'll make sure my kids keep an eye on all the clips - I don't want to suddenly disappear : )

Earlier in the year my mother had someone bump her at a light and she went through the insurance, it was done fast. She noticed recently someone in a parking lot must have lightly hit the car in the exact same spot on the bumper plastic, scuffing up the plastic. Thankfully with this write up I'll be able to swap it out for her no problem. The replacement part and a little time is a lot cheaper and less stressful than dealing with insurance and a shop. I do recommend going with OEM as aftermarket is often thinner from what I have read.

Thanks for posting this! My bumper got smashed in a hit and run (somehow she only damaged the bumper and nothing else)? So now I know I can just fix it myself!

Can you remove one of the rear panels without having to drop the whole assembly (bumper + both right and left panels)? Are these white clips which are linking the panel to the rear bumper accessible from within the car? Thanks.

Two questions hopefully you can answer: 1. Does the Bumper Cover 52159-0R160 need to be painted? Isn't it just black textured plastic? 2. What is the purpose of the Lower Molding 52453-0R060-B0 that I am seeing on the Toyota parts website? I'm assuming some Rav4's have this and it is attached to the bumper cover some how?
