2019 34 SkeeterVac adjusted for more production

The Mosquitoes have been terrible this year and my 10 year old SkeeterVac just wasn't killing like it used to so I devised a catcher out some junk I had laying around (mosquito hat computer fan) super simple but it works. Cheers have fun.

They seem to be awful this summer. Glad to hear your killing piles of them. No standing still water around is a good thing.

Haha tough to do I live beside a swamp, but you are correct I don't leave any still water around not even in the wheelbarrow.

How much does it cost you to run it?

Well I never figured it out but the stickies and Octanol cost the most in Canada about $30 for two sets and the propane will last all summer so another $30 as far as my fan it draws less than 100 watts so $.25 a day. Mosquito season is only about 2 maybe 3 months in Canada so maybe $65 for the year.

I could easily figure out a cheaper method with a box fan and screen room box with a c02 source like soda or just buy the octenol but for Tennessee you may need lurex3 or yeast/sugar cheap and effective.
