I was sad that Brian didn't hit that last deadlift, but he's still incredibly strong. Thor is the best deadlifter rn and it isn't close, so if Brian wants to win, he'll have to beat him in the other events. He's got more in the tank. If anything, he's pissed off now, so maybe he'll give it that much more. Awesome to watch.

Man, the dredges of ignorance in some of these posts... My heart rate was a steady 120 bpm watching this event live. It was enthralling. I was sad to see Jerry, Caron and Brian all with Hammy issues. I know Caronand Jerry weren't 100% but Brian was super psyched this year with no injuries and that 1045lb lift fucked his left hamstring, you can see it pretty clearly. Even with that said, he still PR's on lift 2! Caron may be out but Jerry and Brian are absolute warriors and will plow ahead on day 2 with no excuses. Also, many props to Thor for risking life and limb for the 500kg lift despite being a clear front runner to win the top overall prize! It just goes to show how crazy Eddies lift was at Giants Live- and if somebody mentions his singlet being the deal breaker for lifting over 1100 lbs then they can eat a bag of dicks; that 500kg conventional bar lift is among the greatest physical feats in human history.
