I know it’s older video but definitely gave me things to think about. Always enjoyed my brothers Audi , just never owned one. I agree with the size , I just returned a 21 Mazda 3 AWD Turbo hatch. This time I am not going to rush my decision especially if I am buying it outright. Definitely like the S3 & Golf R , even the GTI is on the list. So many decisions but I really like the S3

Getting the RS3 Hatch is like one of the few cars I'm considering over the Focus RS. That car is beautiful!

Focus RS's fischer price interior makes it a no-go once you've sat in an Audi S3, complete non starter once you've owned anything with a respectable interior. That's saying something for an otherwise amazing machine. It's interior is more worse than it's performance is amazing. Great job Ford. Smh.

There’s literally no comparison between an RS3 and Focus RS. Not in power, interior and of course price. There’s about a 25k-30k difference. The S3 vs RS3 is the better comparison.

Golf R has the option for a 6MT, the s3 only comes in auto. I would choose manual transmission any day of the week, so I prefer the Golf R

I have an S3. Those Pirellis are absolute trash. They’re loud, not sticky and wear out in under 10k miles. Those wheel protectors do nothing except sheer off.

It’s really not that expensive. The only things that is expensive is the major maintenances at 40k miles. But other than that I spend like less than 500 a year for oil changes and other filter changes

I test drove both an S3 and a Golf R, and ended up deciding on an S3. The car is amazing, and is actually much cheaper than an equivalent R, which is shocking to me. With slight modifications, the car gets much better! Also, the car you reviewed was missing the upgraded quilted seats, and those were a MUST HAVE for me!

I actually much prefer the standard seats over the "upgraded" seats, because they're power. The quilted seats look awesome, but losing power functionality was a deal killer. I move my seat quite a bit depending on how tired I am after a days work or what kind of driving I'm doing. And yes, I actually drove one with the manual seats for a few days so I'm not just saying...I actually have experience with both. If you're a set-it-and-forget-it kind of person, that's great. With manual seats, there's often that in between setting that you just can't get with manual adjustments...too close, too far, too upright, etc.

@@Bones43x For sure, it’s totally just a preference thing. I prefer the weight savings of the manual seats, and lower seating position (I’m 6’2”, so head room is a valuable commodity haha), and the quilted seats look amazing to me

I purchased mine last week. I came from Golf GTI MK7 (Stage II APR). It still is slightly slower on the highway 60+, however 0-45 the traction makes up and pulls me back without wheelspin. Overall the car is NOT the same as golf. It costs more because the cabin is 100% more quite. You do not feel like your driving 90MPH on highway. Feels more planted. I will say, golf is better value, all the toys for the same or less price. Questions folks?

I have a 2018 GTI. Is it worth getting a 2020 S3 with 9k in rebates? GTI has been extremely reliable and I spent two grand on my sound system in it.

@@gustavopaulette3496 not really worth it if you get stage 1 on GTI. Sure the audi has quiter cabin but not by much. Honestly I'm fustrated I can't use audi power half the time. And when I do, I'm drivong illegal speeds

I don’t know if it’s a VW/Audi thing but the TPMS in my 2015 VW golf is pretty sensitive and outside temp changes always trigger this warning.
