Than you for this. Returned to biking after 31 years (oops got married). Spent months deciding on a new bike. Bought one of these. Conclusion, no regrets. Superb bike to ride. My one comment is for road use, it has more than enough power, even from low revs due to it superb torque. Trouble is speed limits. One overtakes a truck to find one is doing 85 mph (ooopps). Why have a sports bike unless one likes the design, or want to be on a track. A sport bike (had a Suzuki GSX750R once) gives a lot of wind on the helmet, this bike has no fairing, but at legal speeds not a problem, and so cool. Great bike. Again, no regrets. My big problem is my mileage on my insurance, have to it up, as I cannot stop riding it. Saying that, suggest get BMW protection bars. One can drop the bike and it just rests on the bars. Bike no damage.

this is a great bike such a wolf in sheep's clothing.I have the hp version and I love it ,test ride it you won't be disappointed it encourages you to throw it into corners its a beautiful machine .

Nice vid. I've got a 2019 R1250R and I added the Wunderlich +30mm seat and that made a massive difference. (I'm 6'2).

I think the R suits me better as a touring machine than the RS. RS has a really noisy screen; I have the BMW touring screen on my R which does a very good job. It's worth pointing out that full luggage is available for these too.

My understanding is that on the 2019 models (2020 here in the U.S.), the main headlight is not LED.

Yes I believe that's the case... Not 100 per cent sure though.
