Exactly. It most likely requires the dealer to set it up, test and ensure battery is fully charged , perform all the inspection tests before selling the motorcycle. Here, It is nice that the dealer let it to be shipped directly for unboxing and I assume later a service person would inspect it and set it up.

If you haven't seen it in person you will love it even more. Nice size, amazing color, and smooth when changing pages. Only issue i had with it while playing around, seems like it will be distracting trying to change settings while riding. Every section has so much info on the screen at once. Great we have that many settings we can change but im hoping there is a custom page from most used or something like that.

I already have the K67 ECU, cluster, EWS with keys, and full wiring harness. I have been cracking on the code already. Mission accomplished on clone the ECU and EWS so that I can put ECE 207HP into the USA version 205HP.. all I need now is a K67 if BMWAG would ever release the dates for sale in the USA.

U talking about the exhaust sound? First thing im doing after the break in miles is putting a Full exhaust by akrapovic or Austin racing. Also want to see what aftermarket fender elimination kits will look like because the brake lights are integrated into the blinkers and no brake light on the tail.

​ Malcolm Reynolds I really wish the publishers of information would try to get it right on the release of this new K67. Some it is BMW fault with the delay of pricing, release dates, ... why there is a 2019 in Europe, but not the USA. To answer the why on the release of 2019 K67 is because BMW is racing in WSBK this year of 2019. There has to be at least 1500 units with a VIN ( K ) so the rules are met it being a production S1000RR. The USA ( North America ) will not get a 2019 K67 for sure. The USA got a 2019 K46 already in January of 2019. Europe did not get a K46 2019. So, the last 2019 K67 was made March 3 2020 there about. So the further production of the K67 after March 3 2019 was all 2020 VIN ( L ). This K67 that is being unbox'ed is VIN ZG32385 and was made March 25, 2019, which is VIN ( L ) and making it on the title/MSO a 2020 MY S1000RR

Are they actually selling them as 2019's in Europe? If so, when are they going to sell them. I was told they met the 1500 unit requirement buy using the 1500 as test bikes, selling to racers, and and places like California superbikes school and all bikes on the street will be 2020

@@stang10189 That is correct. March 03 2019 the VIN change was made from ( K ) 2019 to the ( L ) 2020 designation . So it depends if BMW really releases any of the 2019's to the public via the dealer network. With the VIN change over so early March, I would think even the Europe official release model will be a VIN L 2020.. this bike being unboxed is 2020 100% VIN (L)

@@stang10189 so far I have the BDM and have downloaded the code from the K67. The structure of the code is very simular with the BMSMP in the 2017/18 .. so flash process will be the same. The USA version / NORTH AMERICA includes Canada is a rated 205HP, while Europe and other countries getting the ECE code will have the rated 207HP but even the BMW engineer commenting on this made it sound like ECE code will rate 210HP easy. I have already purchased the ECE ECU and ignition system.

@@stang10189 it is a 'race' designed bike. BMW expects that if you remove the huge ugly rear turn signals/fender, you are going to the race track and you dont need a tail light/brake light. So, now some aftermarket are going to have to design a completely new rear tail plastic piece that includes the light just like it is today on the K46.

I was a diehard honda fan till i switched with my friends 2010 s1rr for a day. Went the next day and bought a 2011. Also owned the hp4 carbon and now waiting for my 2020 M package. Honda has just fell to far behind in tech and is in desperate need of a complete refresh. Last one was 2008. They did a update in 2017 but not an full redesign. The motor design is from 2008 with some changes over the years to increase power and lighten up the bike. I have always loved Honda but they really need to redo the whole bike

I had the choice of trading in my 2018 fully loaded S1000RR with all HP parts for a 2019/20... or get the new Ducati V4 Speciale and keep my 2018 S1000RR... I decided to keep the '18 and get the Duc... why? I want to wait for the 3 year refresh and get this bike after it's teething is over..

I sold my Hp4 so i could buy the new model. I sold the hp4 to early due to rumors about release date. I'm not to worried about the teething issue as they really haven't had many issues with the refreshes they have done. Congrats on the Ducati, nice bike. Just not for me after riding it.

I hope someone manufactures proper aftermarket brake lights for this bike because I assume will have a lot of BMW s1rr owners reared from behind. Bmw says they done this for the track, but for me is cost cutting thing again like we all know this bikes 99℅ off them will run around on the streets looking pretty 😁😁.

I dont blame u for waiting but i sold my HP4 based on rumors that the new bike would be out in 2018. Definitely sold it way to soon. Plus i have owned the original, the first refresh, and the hp4 with not issues. I feel safe/hopeful that there wont be any major recalls or issues but everything is brand new. Not 1 part is from the last bike. Kinda sucks because non of my parts from the hp4 will work on the new one. Frame sliders and case sliders have different bolt patterns. Brake disks arw diffrent. Exhaust is different. I was hoping i could use my exhaust but not possible

Every time I see a motorcycle unboxing video it always reminds me of the bullcrap dealership fees that they charge like 'bike prep'. I've gotten quoted $395-$795 for 'bike prep' when in actuality a couple mirrors and maybe a seat cover is installed. And before anyone says cost to ship is probably included...no it is a separate freight charge so where in gods name do they come up with those arbitrary, insanely high numbers?
