I see someone else mentioned it already but I thank you immensely for this video. Specifically and as mentioned you include the part number of the coolant line assembly and I would have never found it if not for this video. I replaced my thermostat and sensor but was having a small leak from the L/H labeled hard line and when I tried to fix it made the line worse (most likely if I had started with digging out the oring I could have refused the bad line) . Parts was closed yesterday as of writing this at my local dealership but thanks to knowing the part number from this video I was able to fix my car today.

In my CT6, the thermostat went bad. This video showed me everything I needed to know. Thanks!

Cool. I gotta do the same thing on my 2015 Camaro RS. Sucks that it's in the back of the engine. Pretty tight spot to get to the thermostat assembly. But hey, gotta do what I gotta do. They wanted to charge me $700 at the shop. To replace and check for leaks add fuild. Got a screwed up lower back (L5) but I'm going to tackle it. Save me some $$$.

Wow, that Gen 5 looks even worse than this. RIP L5. Remember when a new thermostat was 2 bolts and 10 minutes? Sigh...

If it's actually a 2019, hard to imagine it's that dirty or that plastic connectors are already breaking.

it wouldn't have hurt to show us how you removed the hoses, why skip such a vital part of this activity.

Which hoses are you referring to?

Excuse me, I have to change the thermostat, what should I buy? They had told me about the sensor and the thermostat but not about the water tubes that you show there, are they necessary?

where do you install the coolant temp sensor at
@chriskolar2 жыл бұрын
It's on the left of the thermostat housing. The thermostat housing has to come out to replace it.
