How this channel has not got 10,000-plus subscribers has got me stuffed. Another excellent quality and informative video Chris but I'm happy with my Shimano S-Phyres for now.

Thanks kev, yeh I still love my S-phyres... but only so many times I can do "Long term review's" on the same shoes ☺. as for the channel mate, feel free to share it around the place, would be so cool to get to 10k by August

DMT are the best shoes I've ever had. I have MTB version, with the same technology and single BOA system, I have 41.5 size, (41 but I got 1/2 size bigger). They fit perfectly even when you forget to lock BOA ; ) Which happens few times. DTM uses the same knit technology as Swiss x-bionic with their sport clothing, which I have been wearing for last 5 years (also made in Italy for x-bionic)

Ordered the black and the white. I was initially sold on the black but decided to go white. Now it's time to set them up and ride this weekend. They feel like slippers

Just a comment Chris, watched a couple of your vids a couple of years ago, really improved and good work you are doing now and the on camera confidence is great. Cheers for the honest reviews.

For those who are thinking of getting them: I am a US9 in Nikes, I got these KR1's in a 42 and the size fits. 41.5 was too tight and 43 was too big. These shoes are narrow! The arches are super high making these uncomfortable to wear. I don't have wide feet but they are not narrow either. The shoes are knit so maybe they'll break in. The high arches make it hurt to stand in these shoes and because they are carbon, the arches will not flex. I think i might have to return them.

Absolutely love the looks. I’m concerned about the arch in the sole. I’m flat footed. What’s your take on this?

Hi Chris, excellent review. I see you have a 42.5 size on the KR1: do you wear the same size on the Shimano (or Specialized) shoes? This is for the sake of comparison: i am 42 on Specialized and I'm in doubt between 41.5 and 42 on the KR1. Thanks in advance for your comments.

Hey ! Just seen this review. Very cool ! I have a little question though: do this KR1 have a very high stack? I mean, Shimano's shoes have very little stack and I find that's great. Are the KR1 way higher? Thank you !

Agree mate, so hard to get. It's actually one of the reasons I wanted to try them, wondering why they hadn't made a splash in the oz market. I get the feeling that is changing though, be interesting to see if BB get behind the brand in the near future

Looking at the R1, But a bit tentative with Italian shoes, as I bought the Fizik, R1s first addition so replaced them with a later model, and was very disappointed, they were not as comfortable and just fell apart. I know these are not Fizik, but any comments on this brand would be appreciated?
@ChrisMillerCycling
@ChrisMillerCycling 5 жыл бұрын
Not sure if you saw the earlier comment, but I had some pretty terminal problems with the KR1's. After the tour of Phillipines the stitching on the opposite side of the boa frayed and in the end become un-useable. No thoughts on the R1's, but I am back on the Shimano's ... no problems .

@@ChrisMillerCycling Are they covered by warranty? Do you think its a systematic issue with this type of model? Bit of a bummer to hear, as I recently tried these on at a specialist bike shoe store and found them to be the most comfortable of many diff brands. Just ahead of some Lake models. Cant find too many long term reviews of them yet

How have you found the width for the DMT shoes?
@bengt_axle
@bengt_axle 5 жыл бұрын
What is the width of your foot at its largest point, as well as length (in mm)? How do find the comfort at the toe box, particularly the toe box height and space for the medial face of the large toe? Thanks!
@ChrisMillerCycling
@ChrisMillerCycling 5 жыл бұрын
Toe box width is probably the widest I have ever tried, not sure of the exact measurements but very impressive comfort in that area.

Sorry if I missed it but are you reviewing shoes just for the sake of it, i.e. to see what they're like, or were you not happy with the other two? (shimano/sidis)

Hey joe, no just reviewing a couple of shoes while I had the chance. I'm hoping to be able to review new products across a whole range of categories and manufactures, or just so happens shoes were the easiest (and cheapest) things I could get my hands on. I still ride the s-phyres, in fact I still love them, but there are only so many times I can do "Long term reviews" of the same shoes.

@@ChrisMillerCycling ok nice, do you have a fitter align your cleats or do you do it yourself?

Hey Joe, I do it myself. Tend to just run a super natural position. What I do is put the shoes with the cleat on, and rest them against a stair. I’ll take a photo on Instagram if you like
