I have to admit.. after hitting a dear with my Honda awhile back.. I had the option to rent a 2017 challenger r/t for my therapeutic come back. Needless to say, it was fun, loud and being that I never drove a challenger before- a real eye open. It performed extremely well at high way speeds. It was sure footed and build well. You felt like you were driving something profound, made me realize how the older generations must of felt when the originals were introduced. It was a great opportunity that was granted to me when faced with a delema such as smacking a deer 🦌 and using this to see the silver lining in the cloud that I was underneath at that time. Good video.. the aerial shot of the smokey burnout was impressive, along with the line lock option.👍🏻

Old and new combined. Kept the. Old school styling,and comfort with new technology. Love it. GM and Ford could learn on style When new Camaro came out, Looked like it interbred with a Mustang. Mopar held true classic lines. From that era To combine, dropping kids at. School, and dinner date, then drag in the tens. Pure genius. A statement. And within reach to those without a trustfund. Just something about raw horsepower and torque. Sounds and handles like no other. Hit the nail on the head.

it most definitely is as i just ordered one today. this is on the demon specs read it: www.motortrend.com/cars/dodge/challenger/2018/2018-dodge-challenger-srt-demon-first-look-review/ and this is the red eye's specs: moparinsiders.com/2019-dodge-challenger-srt-hellcat-redeye-options-and-pricing/ the differences in the engines are the pcm tuning limits the super chargers are both the same 2.7L and use the same boost pressure of 14.5 compared to the smaller regular Hellcat 2.4L super charger with only 11.6 boost pressure. it also allows the red eye to red line at 6500RPM's compared to the Hellcat's 6200RPM's.

Unless your 6’10”. You should be able to adjust your seat UP giving your rear seat passengers plenty of room and still maintain good room for yourself. The challenger front seats go way back. Much further than the charger.

Driving Sports TV - your statement is not credible. I'm 6' 2" and I fit pretty well in the back seat. My 6`1" 260 pound friend fits reasonably well in the back seat. I've watched umpteen videos from people reviewing these cars and they all fit in the back seat. It's interesting that you make this claim but the video doesn't show anyone trying to fit in the back seat.

The car seats up to 5, not just 4; and the back is fine for 2 adults if you move the front seats up a little. Also: on my '16 Hellcat, the "Sport" setting has the least traction control, rather than the "Track" setting.

I would love to own one of these beast oneday, this and the Ford Mustang G.T. only two muscle cars I would ever need in a lifetime. Oh and a Porsche 911 Turbo S. That's it for fast cars. For me that is! But I know the insurance on these cars are not cheap. Last but not least for Dodge they should produce a HellCat RedEye Charger that would be epic as well, those would sell like crazy.

Pretty sure it ~started with the 6.4 which Mopar modified and engineered into the hellcat. When all was done the final result was 6.2l. Of cours there's way more to it lol

Driving Sports TV Seems like a pretty un reasonable price for a car that underperforms in comparison to the Demon. Love the styling and performance but 90 Horses isn’t worth a $30,000 price difference. If this was information that was obtained at the press conference in Maine then I’d imagine the price is subject to change. I think that most people would rather put that money into a stock Hellcat which would Smoke the RedEye with that much invested into it. If this thing actually costs $90k I can confidently say that I will not buy one. Great review, it does provide a lot of insight on the car itself.

Really needs the (goodyear supercar R3 tires) off the Zl-1 1LE or Michelin sport cup 2 tires. SRT is failing by not offering a sticky tire option....the same way Nismo Fk'd up not offering the sticky dunlop tire and carbon/ceramic brakes for the GT-R.

@@blackice7408 This is Dodge... Chrysler is the "Premium" name plate. Problem is Dodge tries to put an all season tire...since Dodge is the "budget" brand. The tires aren't small like more expensive brands. Also the all season tires aren't really cheaper than a lot of sports car summer tires. It's just really dumb when brands don't offer a high performance option...on powerful models. FYI, Ford usually puts the smallest tire size in their cars of the muscle car brands....probably why they are probe to running into crowds of people.
