when the bed is that size i rather go with a 330 pete or f750. so loaded with tools a welders and bottles how much will it weight? my guess 17,000 or more for me stopping ability is what concerns ne when the bed is that size on anything that is not on 330 pete or similar type truck . the bed is awesome as is the crane.but for me be better a bigger truck as it is your over 11000 pounds so you will need a medical card anyway

When you step up to a Pete or a 750 now your in a much bigger truck to maneuver around. The bigger trucks have this place as well as the 5500/550 series trucks do

@@drewmurphy2796 years back we had a tech die in a 550 back then no one wanted to to 750 due to the CDL thing but truthly when you have a bed that size you are going to exceed the GVW of that truck. After that accident local police started weighing all svc trucks on stops and guess what not a single truck that did not have a gvw of the 750 passed they all were way over weight so lot of companys here went to F750,330 or bigger I actually went into a 379 Pete and loved that truck even thou turning raduis and parking were a hassle at time

@@sonofmontezuma3732 yeah that’s the thing, for what I’d be using a truck like this for, a 750 or class 7 or up truck would be oversized and it wouldn’t be practical. Theses trucks seem to be the sweet spot for certain things

@@drewmurphy2796 I had a F450 4X4 diesel was sent out to work on a ecluid R25 with a 6-71 Allison so I pulled the trans loaded on the truck and rolled got stopped and guess what my weight was??? Those beds lead them selves to over loading on smaller chassis

@@sonofmontezuma3732 a 450 and 550 have a little bit of a different weight rating. But if it’s so easy to overload them, why would they still sell them? Like I said for certain applications they are okay. All depends what your going to do with it
