Hi there, here in the States I have a 21 M2 Comp, and I agree ride is harsh but it’s a lot of fun especially in the manual. However I must of been the unlucky one and my seat squeaks every time I’m in it. At the dealership now and they are going to be replacing the seat back hopefully that fixes the problem.

I have just asked my local dealer to look out for a lightly used example of the right spec. Really looking forward to getting my hands on one. My last M car was an E30 M3, so it will have big shoes to fill, but the M2 Comp seems to be a modern equivalent.

Good review- thanks! Couldn’t help but notice you cruising round my neighbourhood - Pittwater rd a joy on some of its bends. I’ll be sure to beep you if we happen to cross paths - mine is a manual in Hockenheim silver which Im absolutely mad on (but sounds like you aren’t much of a fan) 😂 Also built in last production month so very fortunate to land it. Keep on enjoying the M2C 👍

A good review and certainly agree on all the positives. It's definitely a fun car and always puts a smile on my face. I've owned mine for around three and a half years with 62,000 km and thought you may have mentioned a few more negatives such as the hideous looking rear muffler. Here are few more negatives that I would bring up if asked the same question starting with IMO, the relatively small fuel tank of 52 litres - would have loved an extra 10 or so litres on especially longer drives. Apple Car Play for $450, which is now a zero cost option on new BMWs! Am I 'nitpicking?' Perhaps! I could keep going.............

I'm 2 years into mine and couldn't be happier with it. Agree about the fuel tank, it's the worst "feature", and the muffler is ugly, but hey, I can live with that stuff. Here in the states, BMW initially tried to charge for CarPlay but there was a massive customer revolt, and in 2019 or thereabouts, they started including it at no cost.
