2019 Ford F150 customer states that he hears a rattle type.clunk noise behind the cab. Test drive confirms noise is present. raise it up and the left side leaf spring has been moving. Too much at and bushing has a lot of free play. Confirmed noise with chassis ear.
Replace the leaf springs. Driver side driveshaft and fuel tank must be moved to access bolts. passenger side exhaust must be moved. After install leave both rear mounting bolts loose and lower the vehicle then tighten. It must be under load for correct height. If not.the truck will sit lopsided and high.

This helped me rule out one possible issue. UPDATE: 1st tech guy said he sees nothings wrong. then given to a Foreman and he drives it puts it on lift and notices some slop in the drive shaft. He pulls the Driveshaft re-greases the spindles and such retorques everything and my bump when starting from a stop is gone. Seems similar to the old Slip-yoke issue. I am very happy that Ford actually fixed something!! You have great stuff on here so you gained another subscriber. i have 2020 F150 4x4 in Abyss Grey (dopest color).

I appriciated it. Yeah it's a clunk noise right behind the cab. You hear it when your turning or slow bumps. Sure enough it's the leaf spring. @969Garage bumper to bumper warranty is 3 years 36k miles. So if you're over they then no. It is not covered under powertrain at all. Don't know why they are blaming fluid film. 2020 F150 4x4 I have a clunking in the rear when first getting on the gas after stopping. I thought was differential but I now feel it on both sides in the rear and after seeing this video I am thinking this might be my issue. I will say the pads are pretty worn as well. 54k miles. I did pull a travel trailer during one year for 7 trips or 2000 miles. My dealer said they need the truck for 2 days to figure it out. Not sure why it takes 2-3 days to figure it out. Apparently they have certain guys for these problems and they are backed up. Anything else it could be ?

First getting on the gas after stopping. Well. Could be the springs. But you would hear it all the time. Does it have a two piece drive shaft? If it does then could be the slip joint.needs grease. I did a 2014 that had a clunk when taking off from a stop one piece driveshaft. It was the transfer case clunking. They are either backed up. Or they don't know and are trying or buy time.

@@BeardedFordTech Yeah I found that Slip yoke issue on older models, but my 2020 it appears to be one solid driveshaft now...no longer the two piece with slip yoke. I asked the dealer to check for a missing anti rattle clip on the brake pads. He said he had his suspension guy tighten every bolt. I said its not the suspension..
