I had the original 2016 Honda HRV ex! The car was really nice back then fantastic for it's price point and never had a prob. I actually just bought a 2018 accord sport! Car is insane again for the price. Love what they did with the HRV looks incredible and love all the new features that were once luxury are now becoming standard. Cup holder looks really sick, I love the Honda sensing in the HRV and my Accord has it as well. Honda does fantastic with their cars! I love my Accord it really feels like a luxury car and people constantly compared to the Audi A7. Nice job hondapro Jason, and Honda itself!

Great improvements HONDA----------Love the key fob (Dont change it please:) the LED lighting AWESOME sauce! the magic seats like the fit AWESOME sauce! USB ports .random lighting option nice! We just got one!! Does padded center console have TWO storage trays? We know how to open it...but, it looks like the top padded “lid” should separate from the plastic part of the lid that opens... Does it do that?? Thanks. :)

Given all the oil dilution issues with the Honda CRV 1.5T engine I dont think Honda would be dumb enough to put it in another vehicle until they come up with a fix for the problems with it. People in a facebook group complaining no heat in the winter, as much as 2 quarts over full because gasoline getting into the oil, more than a dozen buy backs just in the group alone. 2-4 dozen people in the group have these issues and it's a small group. I have read about the problems all over the internet. I'm worried about mine, so far it's good, but for how long? who knows?

Jason, now about the revised input to the acceleration to make it goes a little be faster, I do not seen the different from my 2016 to the 2019 we have. Personally, I think the 2016 felt a little lighter and quicker. The 2019 we got seems a bit heavier driving of the line.

Hey man, question...with the front sensing camera, in the event of a windshield crack, does the camera need to be realigned? If so, does Honda charge a fee for it?

You'll pay hefty for a windshield replacement I can tell you that. Too many gadget is no good sometimes. Keep it simple and easy to own and maintain is what I like. If you can't drive and keep our eyes of the phone then rather not go out driving and kill someone. If people cannot park and drive then they have no business being out on the road. Sure, it's an improvement for safety but people will abuse it and end up causing more problem if they solely depends on it.

@@Stevenyc69 - ok, I feel like a stupid a$$ girl because I CAN NOT find meter setting AT ALL in the menu. There is no meter setting to choose from. The panel is not the same as the EX or above and it doesn't have customizable door locks exactly like the EX and above because it has an actual key that you use to start it. You have to use the park assist in this specific trim to set up how to lock the doors. Am I making sense? Thanks for trying to help me!!

Quick note...a flood occurred at the Fit/HRV plant in Mexico in June. It is supposed to resume three months later and dealers told me it takes a month to get to US from the plant, so I guess 2019 FIT/HRV from Mexico may not arrive in showrooms until Late October/November.

I drove the 2018 and it's a good car. The power is ok. But I do think they should put the 1.5 turbo engine from the Civic in it at least as an option maybe on the sport version or something. I like the looks of the 18 better than the 19 too.

Our 2016 HR-V is pretty decent, but the foreign models we used prior to purchasing were vastly superior, and it still seems as though this “redesign” is being watered down from other markets.

Well, first off, all of these updates we just got were already standard fare on the Vezel for a few years. In addition, the Vezel features a rear occupant arm rest, where USDM models do not. Hybrid and Turbo trims are available in other markets, but not here. Some of them come better equipped from the factory, than our US models, with power folding mirrors, for example, and often times the Vezels have been finished off slightly better than our American counterparts, with better fitment, better overall quality, and better attention to detail. We purchased the HR-V in 2015 when it launched here in the US because we had positive prior experiences with Vezels in foreign markets. The HR-V still suits our needs well, but it hasn’t been as pleasant an experience as the Vezels.

Great video but when you mentioned all the "NEW" things on there down which is not at all new. Sensing was used on the 2016 models in Canada. LEDs were used on all jdm upper end range vezals. Honey comb grill upgrade option on 2016. One thing they still cant get right is the LED tubes on rear brake lights. And all 4 light up. Engine wise they failed they should have upgraded to a 1.5L turbo way long ago and still haven't. Honda is lazy

Switched out my 2016 Civic EX for the 2019 HRV EX and hardcore regret my decision!!! My Civic was light years ahead of the HRV at 3 years older 😹. I am extremely underwhelmed with the difference. No more remote start, the dash board is super outdated (miss seeing the actual digital speed), cup holders are a lot smaller, the screen isn’t centered in the HRV which look wise is ugly as can be not to mention bringing back the knob is actually stupid look wise, no door lock button on passenger side, the seats hurt my back so bad and the hump at the bottom is in the way of my feet being comfortable, can’t see all that well out the back, old school tank and lever to open again (WHYYY), and really miss being able to pull my cord through the top of the cubby. Just to name a few! 😳 Sales guy said I’d get 30 mpg highway (hahaha didn’t believe that at all but thought I’d at-least get 25.) Yeah how about 22.. I get it’s an suv and heavier and that I won’t get the 42 mpg highway I got in my Civic but wow. It would be really nice if the HRV was truly more sporty because it is more like a hybrid between an suv and car. It could be a really cool suv for those not wanting to feel like they had a mom car lol! On the plus side I have heated seats and it’s purple.

Also people said ABS was a waste of money when it came out. Now you would never buy a new car without it.
