Talking about miles and here I am still owning a Mazda3 2014 s GT premium with the 2.5L since the first ones ever arrived at Mazda dealerships here in Austin, TX. I'm at 323,573 miles and still running as good as my 2019 Mazda6 Signature. Not a single problem to this day.

I'm enjoying following your journey with this car. I have a 2021 AWD Turbo hatchback that I bought new in August 2021. Regarding your keyless entry malfunction warning: Recently my door lock sensors on the outside door handles (the ones you touch to lock the car from the outside) started failing intermittently - one day they'd work, one day they wouldn't. I finally took it to the dealership on a day when they weren't working, and the Service Department said that water had gotten inside the door handles and messed up the lock sensors. To remedy the issue, they're ordering new front door handles, and once they come in, they will have to be weatherproofed following a procedure outlined by Mazda, and then installed on the car. Following the diagnostic visit, which involved removing and reinstalling the interior driver's door panel, I'm getting the same keyless entry malfunction warning you did; the tech thinks it's related. My point is that you may be onto something with your hypothesis that condensation got inside the door handles and interfered with the keyless entry system.

Thanks for posting your reviews, I just recently purchased a CPO 2021 Mazda 3 Turbo AWD PP with only 4K miles on the odometer and so far I love it. I’ve put about 100 miles on it since I’ve gotten it and it’s so smooth and the BOSE speaker package drowns out any highway or road noise. The only issue I’ve noticed, and this may just be nitpicking but for some reason my heads up display does not read road signs, it simply shows only my speed, even though I have the setting turned on in the infotainment system. I’ve tried resetting it and turning it off and on with no avail. Other than that it’s been amazing and I can’t waiting to see how it is in the long term.

Just fyi - Mazda has acknowledged the issue with scratches on the instrument cluster lens (as of June 10, 2022). The service bulletin is under "Manufacturer Communications" for Mazda vehicles on the NHTSA website. This notice applies to all Mazda Vehicles since 2014. I believe they will replace it for free, so give your dealer a call. But I don't know if the replacement plastic is any better. I'm gonna post this on your other video as well so that more Mazda owners can see this.

I'd like to point out that most turbo engines have issues. It's generally the turbo and less the engine and yes Mazda make a good 2.0L and 2.5L. I have a 20 year old Mazda 6 still that runs perfectly engine wise. Body wise it's seen better days but that engine still goes. The tires, I agree with, try and get some 16"s on instead of those 18"s even if they look nice. You'll get a better drive from the car overall too by doing so. Sensor issues are common with harsh weather and environments so thats expected. The only surprise was the window trim lol. Still such an amazing car. I hope to be able to finally buy one this year, I'm glad I couldn't before hand because here in Australia they just updated the base model to include leather steering wheel and shifter for the same price.

I have a 2019 Mazda 3, bought it used from a dealer with 9K mile on it. Had the software patches done too. The battery has gone dead on me 4 times in the last 9K miles. It has been back to the dealer twice and both times check out ok? It appears the car uses excessive electrical consumption when the car is not running due to the excessive sensor electrical use i.e. lights that stay on after the car is turn off etc.? Anyway I now travel with a small after market battery charger and even though I love the style and power from the 2.5 engine, I will never buy another Mazda again. Just not comparable to a Toyota or Honda when it comes to reliability. Buyer be aware.

@@corentindockx for all the engines turbocharged or not you have to wait a minute or two, because the oil needs to go through the small pieces of the turbo works at high temperature vs the cold weather or in long trips, you could damage your engine if you have bad habits. i got the 100k mile warranty, mostly because I just want to be covered bumper to bumper with peace of mind, but the finance guy said that electronics are a good reason to get the 100k warranty because they are prone to fail around 50k-70k miles such as the backup camera or even the display monitor. Has that been true from what you've heard around or was he just pulling my leg.

@CCallanan20
@CCallanan20 2 жыл бұрын
I purchased mine without a front license plate mount too. Super frustrating- but this is how i got it handled: Consider taking it back to the dealer and asking for it to be covered under warranty. If you purchased the vehicle in Illinois and it is not legal to drive a car w/o a front license plate, they sold you a vehicle that isn’t compliant with current laws and regulations and therefore not street legal. That’s a dealership problem.

No maybe one of your sensors is broken, on of your rims is crooked and lets one tire loose air. Check if the tires are actually losing air or not by filling them yourself. Its easy to reset the tpms left of your steering wheel just hold the button a few seconds and it will hard reset.

In my experience with my 2020 Mazda 3 premium, I began to have what seemed to be ECU issues. On two occasions on road trips, all the warning lights on the dash came on, and showed the car was over heating as well. I pulled over waited it out, checked under the hood, no signs of over heating. When i brought it into a dealership nothing was found. I was given a year free of maintenance when I bought the car. When time came for an oil change I decided to bring it in, so I wouldn't do it myself. The car was never lifted at all, they simply opened the hood for an hour with the car on, windows down, and A/C blasting full speed. They wanted to charge me $70 I told them to fuck off. In the end I had to do it myself because they registered it into the system that the service was done. I love Mazda, but these dealerships are a nightmare.
