I'd like to think that the score at 26:02 was, in part, for Coach Brady Hoke and specifically for that classless touchdown (when they could have taken a knee instead) that MSU scored in the closing minutes of Hoke's last game against the Spartans. Hopefully Dantonio choked on his words after this last touchdown scored against his team and in, what turned out to be, his last game against MIchigan.

TL;DR - The refs are still unfairly calling games against Michigan, and Shea Patterson's productive day against "a Michigan State defense" is much more a product of this being a horrible defense and less of this being a stellar quarterbacking performance akin to Chad Henne and Tom Brady. @19:23 is the best moment of this entire game. To see a Michigan captain, after blocking a punt, sprint headstrong directly at his coach and embrace him with unmitigated love is not just heartwarming, but truly what college football is all about. The anthem: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoLNpHSAndiGrZo Refs, There were no horrific debacles, but they still didn't call a fair game. @8:09 Haskins clearly makes it to the 3.5 yard mark and is forced backwards by the defenders. Refs spot him at the 5 yard line, ignoring his forward progress. Honestly, inexcusable. @16:29 Black stands up after a successful play and casually flexes at his own sideline. This is not unsportsmanlike conduct as it was not at all directed at the opponent whatsoever. Garbage call. @24:05 Peoples-Jones is ruled on the field to have scored a touchdown, but is overturned due to video footage of half of his left foot being over the sideline while cutting to his right. While cutting, a player plants the ball of his foot, located on the inside of the foot, into the turf, while keeping the outside half elevated above the turf. There is not enough video evidence to overturn the call on the field, as we can presume that the outside, left side, of the foot is elevated above the ground while cutting. This is an incorrect call from the booth that violates calls made in previous games, as the announcers correctly point out in the broadcast. This call fundamentally alters the final score of the game. Shea Patterson, @17:15 Patterson completes to a wide open McKeon for a first down. Had the ball been thrown accurately, McKeon would have scored a touchdown. Shea Patterson threw a bad pass that almost any qb in the country could throw. In the stat books, this looks like a positive play for Patterson. In fact, this is a negative play with positive results because Michigan State is so horrible. @17:26, the very next play, Patterson throws a ball only catchable by defenders. Horrible throw that would have been intercepted by any decent defense. Again, Michigan State's ineptitude trumped Patterson's. @17:52 Patterson, on the very next pass play, correctly bails out of the pocket, but then decides to make some ridiculous gesture with his hand/forearm while attempting to elude defenders, and then trips over his own feet and nearly fumbles. I have no insightful commentary. I'm just pointing it out for emphasis. If I were Patterson's coach, I'd want to punch him in the teeth right now. Shea Patterson will undoubtedly receive a boatload of praise for generating nearly 400 passing yards against "a Michigan State defense". Good for you. I'm happy for you. Shea Patterson needs to get a lot better... a lot... you have two weeks. I want to end my very long comment by saying, the fact that Michigan State had so many personal fouls, a Spartan player was rightfully ejected, the extent to how dirty they chose to play this game... is inexcusable. Fuck you. You deserve every bit of this. Fuck your fans who don't call you out on your offensive and dangerous attitude with which you approach this rivalry. It's wrong. Dantonio has encouraged this mentality against us for years. I hope he is fired and his memory is forever tarnished. Being called our little brother is a privilege for which you are unworthy. Change your ways or die, frankly.

I really respected Dantonio. I started watching and loving Michigan football in the mid80s and MSU was always an afterthought. The fact that he bought them to national prominence and made UM pay attention is a huge deal. I hear there are lots of rumors about wrong doings and things like that. The sexual assault things that we know about are awful. But in the end, I hope things are not tainted because there was a host of other wrong doings that the public is not aware of..Go Blue..

Well, i can see one glaring weakness that those damn buckeyes will look to attack. 2 words, READ OPTION. If we’re struggling to stop Lewerke doing it then we damn sure are gonna struggle with it against fields
@justinadam23165 жыл бұрын
Don brown will have a spy on fields and we hope we get a chance to hit fields a ton. Fields is more dangerous when in a passing situation and finding a run lane. Also let's see how this weekend goes psu is best defense they will have played.
@TMLF_815 жыл бұрын
Justin Adam well. I think Penn state gave them a blue print. If you can take away the run game and contain fields on passes while having pressure up the middle taking him off his spot you can force alot of TOs since he throws the deep ball even if its severely late. Im more interested to see how they plan on taking chase out the game. Surely they dont leave mayfield on an island to block him solo

In the first minute of the 4th, Michigan blocked a punt, scored a TD, intercepted the ball, and had a player get ejected.

I'm still bitter that Fox is so incompetent that they missed DPJ's Paul Bunyan celebration after doing the same thing the year before.

Don't fret, we're not scared. We may get a tad bit bored come halftime due to having our 2nd & 3rd stringers in, but no, not a bit scared. Spanking your baby brother ain't the same as beating your Daddy.

@@familyyoutube1147 Ok, don't get ahead of yourself lady. You beat a 4 win team on Saturday. A 4 win, unranked & unraveling team that's on the verge of an entire coaching staff overhaul. And y'all dancing & cheering & celebrating like you beat Bama in Tuscaloosa!! But sure, you bring the smoke, we'll bring the fire. O-H!!!

I mean maybe? A lot of our O-Line is graduating, Nico and DPJ will probably go pro. Ruiz could go pro. Vert and Metellus are gone. Really concerned about the O-Line next year. I'm excited about the RB room. Charbs, Haskins, Corum, and Evans. Our WR should be good. Dylan should be fine at QB. And McGrone and Hutchinson and Dax are only gonna get better which is exciting and terrifying. But O-Line can make or break a team. And like 4 starters could be gone next year.

2 things; Someone should remind MSU that tackling is still a necessary part of the game..... Me thinks they forgot. AND..... As a lifelong & faithful Buckeye I'm bred to hate that team up north, but logical enough to know that I need them to be good for the sake of the Big Ten & for cred when we win. It's a tricky line to walk. That being said, aside from a couple of stumbles this season, they look about as good as I've seen them in last decade. Not good enough to beat my Buckeyes but it should be a good game this year. O-H!!!
