I would say everything is good with this video besides the fact of not putting any lubrication on the brake pad hardware which helps the brake pads slide when suppressing the brakes. Also putting some lubrication on the brake caliper piston will also help from the Piston not sticking to the pad. Other than that it was a great video

Any idea what to do if the screws that you took out of the rotor broke off? I'm no mechanic. I've changed brakes on my truck and other cars before, but never seen screws in the rotors. Currently, I'm sitting here with one that won't come out, and one that broke off

Those screws are only on the rotor so that they don't fall off and hit somebody on the head during the assembly process. Pear otherwise not important.

So if you’re just doing pads you can leave the caliper swiveled up and don’t need to remove the carrier, I’m assuming?

Can you show where you put the jackstands? Csn I put the jack stands at the jack points?

the jack stands are under the LCAs (lower control arms). I jack on the jack points and then place the stands under the LCAs and gives you plenty of clearance and stability.

A couple things that aren't mentioned but you should know before you do this- 1. He makes it look easy because he's done it before. If youre doing it for the first time, expect to spend about an hour and a half per wheel. 2. The brake pads and the new housings that go on the top/bottom for the lads are a literal son of a bitch to get into the hardware. Honestly that part took me longer than every other part. I finally got mine in by angling them so that the widest part goes in first, then gently tapping the other side. Still took me 20 minutes. 2b. If youre like me and you forgot the C-clamp or tool, find a nice adjustable wrench and use that to squeeze the piston back to the proper position. It's difficult but doable. 3. MOST IMPORTANT- YOUR BRAKES WILL NOT WORK THE FIRST TIME YOU PRESS THEM. DO NOT BACK OUT OR PULL FORWARD QUICKLY. Pump the brakes a few times and they should start working if everything is installed properly. 4. Roll the windows down, turn all sound off, and listen carefully as you drive. It should not make any noise when you press the brakes. Get up to about 40 and push hard on the brakes until almost stopped a few times. Listen for noises- grinding, squeaking, whining. Otherwise, great video and thank you for the walk through
