Anyone who is having trouble with DRL feature. Theres a separate set of settings called the live settings in the tazer box when the truck is turned on. There you can set the drl to amber and to stay on with the regular headlights as well! Also in unconnect make sure you DRL settings is checked on!

Really good video. I've had my Tazer for about a year and learned some stuff. Great job. One issue I had was the backup cam/turn signal option did not work correctly with CarPlay. I ended up disabling and ZAutomotive indicates they are aware of this issue. Hopefully you add a video on the front cam/cargo cam install.

great video, got mine for tire size but have you tried the “hold brakes at red light” function? I turned it on but doesn’t seem to do anything

Good explanation. I got mine primarily for the tire size function. After getting new tires, my speedometer wasn't accurate. The tire size function allowed me to adjust to my new tires. It takes some experimenting to get it right, but it works well.

I have one installed on my 2017 Powerwagon and love it. do you also have the trans and engine performance modes? mine has that option. haven't tried it yet where I already have a Pedal Commander installed but it is also a great add on

This is a great video, I’m so afraid of screwing something up, if I install it in my 2021 Limited and marry it and only use the live menu if for some reason I need to take it out will I have to unmarry it and due a full reboot and two key recycles ? Thanks Bob

THank you for the vidoe, THis was a pretty good one. I do have a question. Does the Window Roll up/Down Function work without being in accessory mode. As far as I know, it only worked when in Acc mode. THank you again for your time.

No problem! We’re here to be informative to the best of our abilities! Some of the functions require the Tazer to be connected, some don’t. If you go to the dealer best bet is always flashing back to factory and removing it.

My truck didn’t come with the trailer brake control. I plan on adding it soon, can I activate it through the tazer? Or is that a dealership only thing?

Thinking about getting this, but I have a couple questions: -I got bigger tires, recently. Updating the tire size give a more accurate MPG reading right? -Why does it give an option to change the 3rd brake light to LED? I swapped mine out for LED a while ago with no issues.

Not so sure if it would increase MPG, since a larger tire would add additional weight - the Tazer is good for recalibrating the speedometer. I imagine the 3rd brake light option would be to convert to the LED version found on some of the newer model year trucks. Your best best would be to reach out to Zauto!

@@sloparboys6697Since the Speedometer is inaccurate with bigger tires, I was assuming the MPG reading(and odometer) were also inaccurate. I went from 32.1” to 33.9” tire size, which is a difference of 5.6%. The speedometer is off by roughly the same percentage. I went ahead and ordered it, so I will be testing the MPG

just got mine and upgraded to latest version but when i try to program the custom light sequence, it only blinks the headlights (high and low beams) despite which front lights i select. (19 rebel) any thoughts?

Not without changing out the LEDs inside the headlights which would require a full disassembly. I currently have it so my normal white DRLs are on, and the Tazer turns the turn signals on solid as a DRL as well.

Had a friend out on our Kang cruise do this with their TRX! It actually changes them from white to yellow if you do it on that specific truck

There’s no way you can change gear ratio or if the rear is locked if it comes with 3.21 and open rear I’m confused ? Or if you happen to change out you can adjust speedometer in assuming?

I am unable to marry or access any of the menus. I hold the left button on my 2020 limited with the newest version .09. I turn cruise control on. Not sure if the 12” is different? Or is the adaptive cruise control affect this? I’ve tried cancel and res but nothing changes. When I plug the device in it flashes red as well and doesn’t show green? Any ideas what I need to do?

Wish I could get my truck stay in off road 1 when I drive over 50mph. Air suspension is nice but a pain all at the same time.

You might have to reset the Tazer - I once had mine working, ended up disabling it. I wished it would've work with the truck engine running, rather than when the key was cycled to the run position.

Does anybody know if u can disable fog lights coming on while turning ar slow speed and while using blinkers??? I just bought the lasfit switch back led fog lights and I'm getting issues With them being out of phase with each other. I'd only like the fogs to come on when I say so, not the truck deciding

Hey Justin! Sorry for the late reply, I looked through the settings on my truck and couldn’t find one to disable the fog lights while turning. I leave my fogs on all the time, and they won’t do the turn function unless I shut them off and the headlights are on. Might be better to leave them on all the time, and when you want to change the phase you just flip them off and back on!

Why wouldn’t you should dark mode I think that’s the biggest thing people are looking for yeah it shuts down the all lights and display but does it dim the dam dash board also cause that’s like have a flashlight in your face since you can’t dim it

The Tazer does have a blackout function that will turn them off when parked. I haven’t tried it, I didn’t want to use it because it also turns off the screen.

I'm pretty sure with the newer firmware the select commands have change. Instead of left arrow and Resume the new commands are Left Arrow and right middle button(cruise on).

Some settings require it to be hooked up all the time. I’ve left it installed the entire time and had no issues.

I’m with you on this line of thinking. Why would I turn an 80k dollar truck to look like it’s having an electrical fault? There was one setting that it showed I would use. The auto mirror fold function. The one you didn’t like....to keep people from hitting mirrors in parking lots.

I had one fluke experience with a dead battery after a 10hr shift at work. Can’t determine if it was caused by the Tazer or not for sure!
