Enjoy your vids. For those of us who are ignorant, could you explain a little more what you stated at mark 2:20 that the oil pump and cam plate couldn't be upgraded because the "runout" was too high?
@RidinDad2 жыл бұрын
Thanks!! And yeah no problem, depending on how much run out you’re bike has when installing a new oil pump you may exceed the manufacturers recommendations. In his case he did. I don’t know offhand what the recommendations are from S and S or for the Screamin eagle or fueling pumps but I know Screamin eagle has larger tolerances than any of the other ones and his run out was so much that he did not even qualify for the Screamin eagle upgrade. So that’s why they put the stock version back on but upgraded to the newest model with the seal at least.

Really enjoyed your review of this beast. On a separate note, are those bung king crash bars worth the money? Dropped the baby after failing to properly adjust my clutch after installing some new levers and..yeah derby covers thrashed…x.x so considering those rear sliders but that 250 price tag…

Thanks man! And yeah, I think so. Got a new lift and put the bike up on it one day and as I was walking around to the other side to strap it down the bike toppled over on its side from the approximate 3 inch high lift. The error was partially my fault for not being more careful but also huge due to the crappy wheel chock design on the stock harbor freight lift. Video on that to come lol. But the bike fell down in my garage from that lift and the crash bars saved every inch of it. Zero marks or dents on anything

We believe it’s the filter kit from stfu. McDonald’s in maintaining is the stock housing but adds a set of hardware to use it and the larger filter

Was the buffeting due to the helmet only or the Street Glide fairing? I was thinking of getting a Street Glide but some people say the buffeting is bad, but some say with a taller windscreen and a Simpson helmet it seems to be OK?
@RidinDad2 жыл бұрын
I have buffetting due to this helmet with Fairings all the time. So it’s the helmet mainly
@ericjames76802 жыл бұрын
@@RidinDad Thanks! I was looking at helmets and the sales guy recommended the Aria helmet, but I did like the Simson too. It seems certain helmets and fairings do not play well together.

Put a Star 30/30 cam in , less weight you don't need big cubes
@RidinDad2 жыл бұрын
Put that cam in what? The street glide? It’s not low weight and it has a cam

the only problem I see with this is it's not a Road Glide 🙂
@RidinDad2 жыл бұрын
Lol I share that sentiment man. I’ve always preferred road glides over street glides personally. But he’s happy with it and at the end of the day that’s all that matters since it’s not my bike lol

Hey in stead of a 128 build , 117 or 122 keep bore size down with a 117 and a star 30-30 cam it should put you in the 135 140 hp & tq area with power to weight ratio, you go to big and not useable motorcycle...
@RidinDad2 жыл бұрын
I’m familiar with a star 3030. It’s a drop in cam yes? No other internals need to be changed? There’s absolutely no way on a 114 you’re gonna put a drop in cam in and make 130-140 hp and tq

Not a subscriber currently but YT has recommended your videos a few times and I've gone through few. One thing they have in common, man you have negative thing to say about everything haha, I don't believe I've seen a single video with positive thoughts on either a product or bike 🤷🏽♂️
@RidinDad Жыл бұрын
My deepest apologies brother. I will make sure I never say a negative thing ever again. Everything in life has pros and cons. I’m honest and transparent and do not use this platform to blindly promote and recommend things without being honest about the cons as well as the pros. You are probably used to seeing a bunch of other KZbin personalities saying nothing but good things about the products that they have because that is partly how they get their money. That is not what this channel is about. Another part of that is since you have gone through and watched videos that are recommended to you, that means a lot of those videos are ones that get a lot of traffic on social media, which happened to be the ones that have the negative parts in them because they shed light on some thing that the rest of the community either does not know about yet, or refuses to acknowledge because they have not tested the functions of those products. I’m not sure why this bothers you enough that you felt the need to comment on my video but hopefully it made your day a little better 👌🏻 -sincerely your best bud, Ridin Dad
