The 2019 Toyota CHR was recently updated for the Malaysian market with revised features and styling. Unfortunately, the C-HR is slapped on with a hefty price tag of RM 150,000 due to its fully imported origins.
However, there are buyers who are still willing to splurge on one. So we want to find out what's so great about the Toyota C-HR in this review and see whether is it worth buying one.

I was aiming for corolla or this but this i might as well get a crv for that price bigger suv, but then i prefer a car which is a decent size a corolla is the best choice for me as i am a single phtographer/ student which need a bigger car to carry equipment .

drives great but the noisy cabin is a letdown. recent toyotas seems to have sacrificed nvh for handling while honda has improved greatly on cabin noise

Sat in a colleague's CH-R hybrid before, NVH is good, drive is smooth and built quality is nice however rear passenger space is literally one word 'catastrophic'. 3 adults sitting behind is simply touching shoulders to shoulders.

yangerek deone the 1.8 is the old ZR engine derived from the Corolla line, while the 2.0 is the new dynamic force family engine which is more powerful (around 170hp vs 140hp) and more efficient.

@@lorenzoo213 honestly, every proton can overtook any Toyotas of pre-TNGA era be it Vios, Corollas or Camries due to better handling and cornering ability (albeit you need to rev really hard lah). However, I do agree that UMW really need to get their ass together by introducing new engines lineup for Malaysian market. Paying 200k for a Camry with old 2.5L + 6AT doesn't make sense when our neighbors (Thai and Sing) get a new DF 2.5L with 8AT combo, even CH-R comes with a 1.2T and hybrid is available there while we are in the middle here stuck with almost 10 years old engine lineup.

150k, will.topup abit to get fortuner standard spec, and i get.7seater, more bootspace, more tallride, more powerful and fuel economy diesel engine, a 4wd drivetrain rear aircon vent, rear handle, .and i might lost 7airbag instead 3airbags, no.electric parking brake, no autohold, no.TNGA, no rear double wishbone, no.blindspot

Instead of Fortuner you better get Hilux Revo at 90k. Target market is made for uncles. People like CHR for its millennium design! Performance most likely the same, you purchasing Toyota not a Lamborghini.

Another good car handicapped by "CBU from Thailand" In Thailand HRV and CHR are priced almost the same HRV from thb949k CHR from thb979k About RM4k difference Many Malaysian like the CHR look, can live with the space, but put off by the "import from Thailand" price tag.
