Think I might have seen all the YT reviews on this bike and Mossy's is by far the best. Good honest down to earth genuine review with witty commentary, watching him ride it where both bike & rider look smooth as butter on those fantastic roads. Great fun to watch him pushing it a bit so we can get the feel and impressive camera work too! Love to see Mossy take this on the track, but maybe needs the upgraded adjustable Öhlins available now or wait for the 'R'. Fantastic really enjoyed it thank you and want this bike now...

I really hope this beauty really has nice handling. I got burnt by all those positive reviews about the org Thruxton R as it was not up to par with modern street bikes at all. It felt heavy and slow to react in the corners. It really felt like an oldschool muscle bike from the 90s and not a modern street bike. But the looks of those retro Triumphs is spot on, especially this one.

@@granty1150gs I have never ridden one, but the old Ducati Sport Classic may be an option for a pretty good cornering machine. Although, it will cost as much as a new Thruxton/Speed Twin and look a bit meh compared to the Triumphs.
@allanreardon

I agree. I was expecting the Thruxton R to handle a bit better after seeing the reviews. It really is a stunner of a bike and pulls nicely but maybe it's time to swap for one of these.

Just got a 2020 Speed Twin, about 4 weeks in and am so impressed, handles like a VFR750 and looks amazing :) Power where you need it for road work and the gearing is perfect. Will pull away in 1st or 2nd with no complaints. Adding a bar riser and new levers and may swap out the bar end mirrors for bar mirrors but loving it and already 500 miles in in 4 weeks.

As soon as I heard Mossy's voice I remembered the review he did on the old KTM 990 SuperMoto.. One of the best and most entertaining reviews I've seen! GREAT review! This bike just looks like a sportier Bonneville. Which is a great thing. One thing that I think makes it look so great is that it looks like the pipes don't come as far forward from the headers as it does on the Bonnevilles. A little detail but I think that's it. Makes the bike look tidier. I originally wanted a T120. Always loved the style. But regardless of Triumph being a premium brand, I just didn't feel it was enough bike for the money. Then I thought about Royal Enfield. But dealers are scarce. I think the closest one from Manhattan New York is about a 2 hour drive away. I thought about a used BMW R Nine T. Great power and sporty suspension. But that wide engine would have me concerned on the streets of New York. Then I saw the Speed Twin. The Speed Twin looks to have all the positives of all the bikes mentioned without their negatives. I've never owned a new bike just because I think the depreciation hit is not worth it. But this one might be. I think this bike could be a long-term keeper.... Now: demo ride needed!

It’s more than 60 ponies short of my KTM. Entirely different style of bike, but line up 60 ponies head to tail and that’s about the distance between a Triumph and KTM 1290 between every corner.

I've owned the Street Twin and now the T120 the first thing I noticed about the Speed Twin was how light it was compared to my T120, my only knocks about the Speed Twin is it uses the small diameter handle bars from the Street Twin and I don't like the foot peg position. If Triumph would put the same motor from the Speed Twin into the T120 they would have the perfect bike. When I rode the Speed Twin in the Sport Mode it wants to pull the front end up on almost every gear change so it has more than enough torque and I ran it up to 135 mph with no struggle at all.

I was thinking on installing a used front end from a Daytona 650R in good condition which I believe is Ohlins with Brembo brakes and a pair of new rear shocks also from Ohlins which it will give massively improve sporty handling and great looks, surely will be cheaper than buying the Thruxton R, I made a search on the internet and the mod change will not cost more than aprox. 1500€.

My favorite previewer for bikes, but I really like the bike! Higher pegs than a Harley, same stomping ground as a Harley with much better leaning/cornering, but not a pot metal pos like these new Harleys. If I were to choose...
