You can put heavy duty aluminum foil under the oil filter once loosened up to direct the oil to the side of the bike.

I understand your struggle with taking off the stock oil filter. On my ninja 300 I pretty much ruined and disfigured the OEM filter trying to take it off. I will only install K&M or any filters with that included removal lug. Oh I also only ever hand tighten my oil filters.

Use Factory Torque Specs and NEVER use K&N oil filters. They have been known to fail and explode at the nut part of the filter due to high pressures. They have been banned at most race tracks too.

Most manufacturers recommend in the middle of the two hash marks. Personally I do 3/4 on the Zx6r ,R6 and both my buddies r1 and gsxr1000r. But we all track ride now so it’s been keeping the mind as ease of oil starvation when leaned over for longer periods of time

Just sold it feb 17th. And feb15 was marking one year. And hit exactly 25k and some change. The first 6-8k were mainly hwy miles but also went on 5-6 hour hill country runs. Then the rest were hill country runs and to the gym down some twisty back roads. But now it’s time for a new bike in the coming months. For now it’s just dirt bikes

@@monochrome5.0 just curious, how much did you get out of it? 25k miles is usually a hard pass for most people on a supersport. I ask cause I'm planning on buying one, probably a 13-17, in the next month and I'm weighing the new vs. used pros and cons. BTW, 250th sub. Lol
@monochrome5.04 жыл бұрын
Johnny Hustle brotha first and foremost I appreciate the sub I didn’t think id even have more then 50,when I started the channel I plan on using my nicer gear to up the content quality in the near future. Anyways to answer your question I paid 10,037$ cash feb 15 ,2019 and sold it feb 17th,2020 for 5k cash The buyer was amazed how clean it was 9.5/10 For the miles on it. Had proof of all the major service and valve adjustment via video since I did it all. After the test ride he stated ,”not even going to haggle you on the the price”Plus all the goodies and fresh tires. But then again as a seller I wasn’t trying to fuck anyone like the dealers so I didn’t ask 8k just like these oils have and have done in the past. I’d personally go with the new models if you can wait it out and buy cash but if not 16-17 were my next picks due to color scheme for them Not really a fan of straight kawi green No real pro or cons the bikes 13-20 are the same other then the new fairing looks and quick shifter and full led headlights that run on both sides Now if you your a fast rider in the canyons I’d say go new due to most used bikes that need shocks/fork oil serviced as well as other wearable things like brakes tires and chain

Hey man wanted to let you know to change the oil on schedule, not on some x amount of mileage. e.g., don't change it every 3500 miles. Change it at 7500, 15k, 22.5k, 30k. I suppose that would be 7500 miles apiece, so every 7500 miles change it. Engineers recommend this for a reason. Changing it earlier means you're wasting money, that's it. If you ride track then yeah, I would expect the oil to need changing much earlier. However, even riding aggressive on the street, 3500 miles is too early.
