I have a 2020 model, goes like a train, super comfortable and has all the bells and whistles apart from sound system which I wouldn’t use anyway. Great brakes and the active suspension is brilliant. However..You DO feel the weight when the bike is stopped, for example in traffic and at lights, it is an absolute sod to manoeuvre around a garage or on a drive, reverse gear is a gimmick and not practical to use, and there are gremlins in the gearbox, false neutrals and gear selection failures are to be expected and then there is the price..fully optioned it’s upward of £20k. As a shorter rider (I’m 5’7”) I also I have to be aware of hazards like dips in the road, cambers and drains if I’m pulling up, if I put my foot down and the ground is further away than expected because of any of the above and the bike tips beyond the point of no return (which it will very quickly) it WILL drop, you won’t catch it. And then it gets very expensive very quickly. It is a superb machine, no doubt about it, would I buy another one? No.

I think you got the fuel capacity wrong. It is 26.5 litres including the 4 litre reserve. Total 26.5 not 30.5

Good luck chap, prob worth sorting your audio out, it’s clipping a bit and that detracts from the experience. Keep going none the less. Merry Christmas

Hopefully I've sorted the audio now. I had to cut out the ride as the audio was awful. I don't know why the recorder failed on this one but it was dreadful. Thanks for the feedback 👍

I had a 17 plate GT sport and it had to have the engine replaced (18k) because of the oil consumption then the gearbox went on the new engine after 4k .The play in the drive shaft bothered me too amongst other minor problem's . Now I'm back on Japanese bikes .
@RevZolution4 жыл бұрын
That's such a shame to hear all that. What bike have you got now

@@RevZolution I have a 2019 Goldwing bagger . I thought I’d give one a try but I wasn’t expecting to like it as much as I did .

Yeah, Kawasaki GTR1400 and Yamaha FJR1300 are the most reliable bikes in this class, both are drive shaft bikes.

Thank-you for reading the spec sheet. I will tune back in when next week you, hopefully, get out of the parking lot.

I'll be taking it back out very soon to create a riding video. Sadly the audio failed me when I was reviewing it on the move. I had to bin all the footage.

Premium motorcycle. Fast. Smooth. Reliable. Maintenance costs higher but not a lot higher. I added a few items to make mine even more comfortable. Wunderlich bar riser, BMW foot peg lowering kit, RDL seat (I personally don’t care for BMW seats), etc. Ride one. The superb suspension, brakes & that straight 6 will leave a lasting impression.

I absolutely loved riding this one. Sadly the audio failed me when I rode it and it was so bad I couldn't use it in the footage. I'm hoping to take it out again and get some new audio. I'd love to own one.

Great review. I don't understand how they squeeze 6 cylinders in! (Couple in the panniers??)

Thanks for the feedback. They sure have made a very tight engine, very smooth to ride.check out my other review video on this bike.

So what happened with the audio here? Are you using a GoPro and had it on the wrong setting? Anyway, I just bought this bike last week and it should be here soon. Can't wait to start a whole series on it on my channel! My 2012 is going to be super jealous, lol! -jaysbigadventure

I use a dictaphone and then sync up the audio but for some reason the sensitivity went really high and I was unable to get it back to a decent level. I've since purchased a more professional one and also a mic for the gopro. I'll be looking to take out this bike again to do a review whilst riding it. I'm very jealous 😊 you're going to love riding it. I'd have the bike tomorrow if I could afford one. I've just subscribed to your channel and I'll be working my way through your videos 👍

Thanks for the feedback. I get bored easily with cockpit views, therefore I try to keep it interesting by changing the angles 👍

hi john here looking at first or second year of GTL or a 2000 to 2017 goldwing the GTL packs a punch yet it has lots of storage like the older wings

Hi John. I've not ridden the Goldwing yet... Although I had sat on the new one. I must say, at this mement in time I prefer the K1600 GT
