2020 BMW S1000RR | Unboxing, First Ride AND First Mod!

I took delivery of my new 2020 BMW S1000RR M Sport Package motorcycle, and it is AMAZING. I love just about everything on this new motorcycle. And for those of you who know me, YES, the modifications are coming... in fact, Zack and I completed the first one in this video! After the abbreviated 'unboxing' in this video, Zack walks us through what happens at the dealership when you purchase a new motorcycle, and then I take it for a first ride (at times in the rain)! Shit, you can do it too. If you can't get them new, get them used. They'll be plenty of used examples to buy. A lot of people barely ride their bikes. Sometimes used is the best option.

Same here. Cosmetically I loved the first but not so much with the second, now this one looks amazing. Technically they are all great but the brakes, swingarm and suspension are far superior with this bike and the carbon wheels are beautiful!

The most complete sportsbike for the road currently on the market. Such a well thought out bike, and one that has electronics that will save your ass from your right hand. BMW have nailed it. It even looks beautiful now. Does it have any faults? There's always room for improvement, but right now it's the best you can buy surely.

Outstanding sir. From what I’ve seen on a very respectable and reliable magazine. Fast Bikes UK. They dyno their bikes at JPS RACING. And it only made 197whp. The HP4 race made 204 on the same dyno. That’s insane. With better air and a full system. It should have no problem beating the races number. And their was almost a 20hp difference in the midrange due to the cam shift tech, over the previous model. You should do a dyno day with the 1100 factory with full system and the new S1000rr with full system. That would be the vid to watch.

The wheels are no longer supplied by ThyssenKrupp ones found on the HP4 Race. The wheels are manufactured by another company, and they are no longer braided carbon.

That's by far the most exciting bike on the market at the moment. All is brand new and fancy! 😁 On the other hand, the RSV4 perform great, but it's an old platform and the V4S is beautiful, but nothing more special as the previous Panigales.

Normal display better than sport, imo. I also dont like the rear light that is with the turn signals. I'd also like if bmw would produce a white or black (or best both) color options. Over all, the best thing is that it has more torque, and would be amazing on the S1000R/XR .

When lubing the chain I use a suitably sized sheet of cardboard which I hold with one hand between the wheel and the chain when spraying the chain lube on. It might be a little awkward to do and the chain has to be lubed in sections to enable you to rotate the wheel but it keeps the rear wheel free of over sprayed chain lube.
