I own the SE 6 Spd manual has Moonroof and Push Button Start, like the XSE. The fuel economy is absolutely impressive. It does 35mpg cruising speed at 80mph. 40mpg at 70mph. 50+mpg at 60mph or below.

Got the same car in blue crush. Already have 28k, no problems at all. Also look where yours was built. I think only the 6mt were built in Japan, but i could be wrong

@@v60polestar88 ur wrong, mine was built in Takaoka, Japan. It says it on my vin, door sill sticker and sale receipt. Only the 6 speed sedans and hatches were built there.

I love my 2020 SE it moves like hell too !!! i had it past 125mph and i swear!!!.. i still had pedal left to go i thought it would back up thinking it had a governor on it.....well not mines. Them Thick wide hugh rims and tires michs hold the road so well and that 2,liter is spunky as hell when you throw it sport mode you can feel it kick in with the small body. to me it feel like a small lexus toyota really did up with this one:) the style is sexy got nice curves i get a lot of stares for the price and styling cant beat it. awesome little car. Keep up the good word.

@@troot1967 thank you! i too wanted the manual but the options i wanted were only offered in the XSE so i had to sacrifice not getting the manual. but i get an average of 37 miles/gallon on my cvt, and it was generally a good buy. but yea dude, definitely go for the SE manual if you can. sucks that they don’t offer it in the top XSE trim

I just leased a 2020 Toyota Corolla XSE 4dr in Celestite on Monday and I love it! With the Corolla having Android auto now, I saw no point in getting the package with navigation, but the push button start, the sunroof, the leather seats, and other thing were worth going up to the top-of-the-line XSE. I think I do get a lot for the money going with the XSE. I'm going back to the dealership on Teusday to add a few accessories!! :)

@Richard Favreau I would suggest the XSE. 18 inch tires are fine. I would never consider 19s or higher die to low sidewalls. The XSE is much more sporty and more enjoyable to drive.

@Adam I agree, but no (faux) leather, no digital instrument cluster, among a few other things, but you had to get a manual to get the sunroof etc on the SE, at least standard. The Corolla's trim levels are quite odd in some ways.

xse doesnt come in manual trans so its an easy choice. i had a 2019 se with 6 speed trans with the works, yes even push button start. that was a little bit tempermental, but i wouldnt do it any other way. thinking of picking up another corolla since these gas prices is a little bit ridics, and the taco is a gas fiend lol.

Steve R. Im a manual fanatic myself and really like the look of the XSE Corolla. I doubt if they will put a manual in the XSE cause they sell so few of the manuals in the SE trim. I would definitely buy an XSE if manual is offered in the future.

Jeff, what are your thoughts on the rim and tire size on the SE or XSE Corolla. Since I want the 2.0 engine, the SE or XSE, is what I’ll get, but the tires are just too low profile for all practically. I live in probably the pot hole capital of world in Jackson, MS. Does Toyota offer 17’s and a little more side profile in SE or XSE for Corolla? Thank you.

In the US, nope. You're stuck with the 18's. Up here in Canadaland however the base SE has the same 16's as the XLE, and boy I dont regret opting out of the bigger wheels with the state of montreal roads

I could have sworn that the SE does have the 16 inch tires, rather than the 18. Might be that each car is optioned differently. Just like the SE in this one doesn't have a moon roof. The one I saw at a nearby dealership did have a moon roof.

My CVT transmission has failed in my brand new 2020 toyota Corolla SE with not even twenty thousand kilometres on it it's under warranty but toyota has kept my car for over a month and I still haven't received my car back! If you're looking to buy a new car I would "not" recommend a Toyota with a CVT transmission and I strongly believe that new Toyotas are not as good!

The good thing about Toyota's CVT is that they have perfected it and it rarely breaks down. Unlike Nissian who puts a cheaply made CVT in their vehicles.
