I picked up the 7'3 Heavy/Fast Daiwa Rebellion a few months back, and all I can say is....wow! Fantastic rod for the money. I go into the dirty deets of the rod including how it feels balance wise, the weight, power, etc. The tl/dr version is: it's a great rod, and totally worth the $200 price tag. Probably one of the best bang for your buck rods on the market right now. Thanks for watching.

I “ADORE” the Rebellion lineup, I have 5 rods, they’re Head-to-head with the Zodias - These made me literally loath the Elite lineup of rods, definitely less sensitive, unbalanced, and much more heavier!

In the market for a froggin/pitchin rod, so I’ve been eyeing the rebellion 7’3 heavy. In the past, I’ve used the dobyn fury 7’3 heavy and although it got the job done, the tip was a bit too flimsy. I’m hoping the rebellion would feel more stout. Can’t wait to get one in my hands.

Oh it's stout enough with being a total broomstick. It has a fast enough tip to work the frog, but goes into backbone real quick. Great rod for the money.

Just got this rod in today actually! Can't wait for spring to try it out I have a victory series st. Croix at the same price point that I got a couple weeks ago and a megabass levante rod coming in Saturday... they use to be the same price point but after they redid the line they went up $50.. I'm curious to test all these rods out against eachother at these similar price points

Lots of awesome options at the $200 price point. I've handled a few of the rebellions and every rod in the lineup seems to be on par. No let-downs in that series of rods as far as I can tell. The Victory's look amazing as well. Thanks for watching.

I was pleasantly surprised how good the rebellion rod looks with the tatula SV with the same colored accents

@@karolkeller5851 doesn't get much sexier. Looks like a $1000 combo, but at about half that price.

How has the daiwa compared to the victory

@@joeschranz4525 I honestly love the diawa and I'd look to buy another of them before another victory. I love how it looks and it's got great sensitivity. However I mostly stick with megabass rods

They are great rods. If you want a heavy punching rod, i’d get the 7’6 heavy, I have the 7’6 as my flipping/punching rod. I also bought the 7 ft medium glass rod for throwing squarebills and smaller cranks, i havent used it yet, but it feels great for what i want it for. I mostly use phenix rods, but since u cant hardly get certain rods and phenix are sold out everywhere…..so i started trying some of these rebellions because i use all sv reels on baitcasters, They match up great.

@fishwithoutfear8970 2 жыл бұрын
You're right, they really are a perfect match. I only have one Phenix - an older Maxim. But it's a fantastic little rod for treble hook moving baits. I'll keep that in mind about the 7'6. Thanks for watching.

Save yourself a hundred dollars and get the Tatula XT rods. There are the same blank as the rebellion but less glitter parts. Feels exactly the same. Compared with my zodias I think the Tatula XT are better and a lot cheaper to.

No it does not. Huge con imo. Some guys say it's because it's a JDM thing, i think that's a ridiculous cop-out.

Would the 7-3ft MH/F work for bottom contact and paddletail?
@fishwithoutfear8970
@fishwithoutfear8970 Жыл бұрын
Definitely could depending on what size weight you're using. It's plenty sensitive. It's not a medium heavy though, it's a heavy.
@Marzunited
@Marzunited Жыл бұрын
@@fishwithoutfear8970 yeah I'm wanting a MH for weights maybe up to 5/8 oz. but mostly 3/8 or 1/2 oz for Carolina rigs, TRigs, paddletail, buzz toads, some jigging and some moving baits (until I get a combo for moving baits). I don't think I'd get a Heavy since I'm not big on fishing heavy grass or fishing deep.

I'd probably try some light frogging and top water too. I have a Tat SV 103 8 spd that needs a rod. =)

Does this rod have enough tip to walk a frog??
@fishwithoutfear8970
@fishwithoutfear8970 2 жыл бұрын
Definitely. Not a broomstick in the tip at all. I'd say it has even more tip than the 7'4 Tatula Elite AGS.
