Hard to tell on this recording, but there is something weird sounding when he raps it, not sure I like it, but perhaps it sounds better in person; question is does it drone going down the road? A couple of corrections are in order. First, this car has the HP70 transmission, not the Demon trans. Secondly, only 410 of these 1320's were made in 2020, not 900. We do not thave the 2023 production numbers yet, but it is a very safe bet that fewer than 3,000 were made in all five years of production, which is less than one year of 2018 Demon production (3300), making this a fairly rare car. I really like the sweet deep sound of the MBRP Catback Race exhaust, though it might be too loud for some kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHjWmnuYna2CjLM (1320 production by year - 2019=1054 / 2020=410 / 2021=659 / 2022=334 / 2023=?)

Sounds nice. I like it. I probably would have gone with a 40 Series if it were mine though. I don't know what it is but the Challengers always sound better vs the Chargers stock vs stock setup to me. Possibly the shorter overall exhaust length on the Challenger?

@@ragingbull94mtx they only fully open and wide open throttle. Which then it wouldnt matter. Yes ask any exhuast shop...you loose back pressure and low end torque with any exhaust....unless you get the correct one with active exhuast like borla.

Wrong. In the case of the Challenger leaving them open increases power, that's why they are left open during WOT and at all times in drag mode. The sole purpose of the active exhaust is to make it quieter at idle and low throttle driving, period.

Man, I always cringe when these customers have their OEM exhaust piping cut and modified. Do they not have any aspiration to ever sell the vehicle for top dollar? Or will they just try to find a buyer that thinks “modifications” add value to a car…

I actually think it's OK. The only time I take issue with it is when people spend extra money on optional OEM exhaust upgrades and *then* cut that off to replace it with aftermarket mufflers. The active exhaust is standard on that Challenger, so no harm no foul. The NPP code active exhaust on LT1 and SS Camaros, however, is a $1,000 option. Why on earth someone would spend that extra money on it, and then remove it is beyond me. You may as well get the standard exhaust, save the money, then buy an aftermarket piece (unless the aftermarket part keeps the butterfly valves - but every video I've seen here they voluntarily disable it).

Agree 100%. That's why I removed mine intact in one piece when I installed the MBRP Race Catback system. I can put the OEM system back on in less than an hour.
