Probably one if the best looking and most useable road bikes Ducati has ever made. The V4 is really too much for the road a bit like the bonkers Aprilia RSV4. The V2 lays in that magic 150bhp area which seems to be the real world limit for good tractable fast fun on road which is manageable.

None of the other bikes I rode yesterday came close to how exciting the Panigale v2 was. I would put up with the weight on the wrists and the burning thighs and other bits to ride it. Due to folding up behind the screen wind protection and noise is much better than on my Multistrada I had before. Touring is no problem. Rosso Corsa II tires work perfect even in cold conditions. Electronics are superb. Suspension is firm, but not stiff (don‘t know how to describe this in english). At the front I opened rebound and pressure to the max. Thank you for posting. From my perspective, the most beautiful bike manufactured today. I also like the looks of the Aprilia RS660, but have not seen it in person yet. Looked into purchasing a V2 a few months back. There are two dealerships in my state. Could not really establish a good feeling with either one of them. One never returned phone calls or emails. The other sold so many different brands of bikes and ATVs that they couldn't care less if they sold a V2 or not. Hence, making me wonder about customer service down the road. Instead looked into and ended up purchasing the S1000RR. The seating position seems more comfortable than the V2, but the mirrors! Yikes, I would wager they vibrate more than the V2. It is just a blur. I could say they are useless, but I would be paying them a compliment. :)

Love the looks, but I’ll say the same as I did to LCR, couldn’t put up with the bag of bolts rattling away between my legs! Think I’ll be sticking to my silky smooth H2SXSE👌🏽....

I've got one of these in white and had an 1199s before it. Still trying to decide if it's heavier on the wrists than the 1199/899. First impressions are that it is a bit.

Having ridden them side by side I think the seating position is identical....

Hi Andy. Great review as always. Lovely looking machine but I think I like the headlights on the 899 more. I,m an old git [58 and been riding since 1978] and riding one of these would probably finish me off. Have you seen the new [well upgraded] 950 Supersport. It has a very similar fairing to this but with a more comfortable riding position. I think it is a bit more torquey down low in the rev range so could well be a better road bike. Anyway ride safe mate and take care.

Yep seen it - not a patch on the panigale when you ride it (at least the previous one that I rode wasn't - more comfy yes, fast, no)

Lovely throw back to summer. That corner by Chequers is a real problem. There's always gravel dragged across the road from their driveway. Be a brilliant corner otherwise.
@TheMissendenFlyer4 жыл бұрын
Actually I find the one after even more prone to gravel.....grip is quite good on Chequers corner

@@TheMissendenFlyer I'll watch for that one too. I'm inspired to get out now and have a ride tomorrow. Grey skies, but hopefully dry roads.😄

Nice review. What’s TMF’s view on Panigale v2 v Supersport S for one’s first Ducati. Here down under the price difference is not great $AUD 23k v $21.5k ride away. I must admit the heat to gonads might be an issue in our summers.

Supersport is way more comfortable but dull in comparison.....

Next year I plan to swap the Supersport for a baby Panigale so look forward to your comparison with the 899, Cheers Andy.

will we see the 890 duke r at some point? also the 890 adventure r when it comes out? can't wait to see how that handles on and off road.

I don't think I could really ride a sportsbike. I'm 195 cm tall and these things look so small to me. I need mah big Honda Africa Twin. It's nice!

Akraprovic do a sports exhaust for this bike which puts the two outlets (one either side) just like the original Panigale exhaust. It sounds amazing but it is very expensive. This bike looks great but the 950 SuperSport has also been upgrade too, which may be a better road bike...
@TheMissendenFlyer4 жыл бұрын
Yes those aftermarket exhausts are expensive - the Termi ones I got for my 899 were something like £1500 IIRC.....and yes maybe on the SuperSport, although when I rode it I found it pretty dull compared to the Pani....
