I have a client that shared their pixel with me. But I still get the “set up your pixel” info screen in Event Tracking. Also, for some reason, when I’m in Ad Sets, the app doesn’t show. Are the two correlated at all? Your video is very thorough and I’m excited to implement what I learned but I’m stuck 😭

hey, thanks for all the videos. I really learned a lot. quick one - I have an app and I don't care where the downloads come from so I picked India and Brazil to run them. Would you translate the ad in Hindi and Portuguese to run them? Or just go with English? thanks a lot again.

Hi Darius, hope u doing great. It is effective to start a campaign with the SDK installed but not events configurated? I mean, I heard that when u install the SDK it starts measuring standard events, can I start an installs campaign just with that or should I also configurate events before starting?

You can start install campaign with basic events. Facebook just needs to have the “install event” to do install campaign. Later on, you can get more fancy by configuring events and optimizing for down-funnel events like start trial, subscribe, add to cart, etc.

The thing is that I started the campaign but haven't receive any installs yet, so I was wondering if it was because I didn't installed events, because theres an error with the SDK implementation or if is just the real results of the campaign. I mean is there a way to check if my SDK is set up correctly?

If my client used to run ads with a different agency, and they don’t have access to the ads manager the old agency was using, can I start over and connect their app to a new ads manager?

This will be tricky. The FB permissions are already complicated. If an app is linked to one ad account, you have to remove it and request a permission from a new account.

Is it posible to link an already published app without the need of going through the Facebook developer process, key hashes, Facebook sdk, etc?

The only way to run App Install campaigns is to include the Facebook SDK. Alternatively you could try running Traffic campaigns to the app store, or conversation campaigns to your website where the triggered conversion event would be a button click that takes them to the app store / play store.

So let's say I want to run the ad campaign for both ios and android apps. Do I just create IOS one and then do a copy with app link changed for android?

To run app install campaigns for an app you'll need to have added that app to your Facebook Ads Manager, using the SDK. You can create an iOS campaign and then duplicate it and just switch the app for an Android one.

Darius Mora, But can't I just link the ad to app page in either of the stores? I don't wish to add the SDK as I'm using Flutter and any plugin can really kill a lot of time.

We’re also building with Flutter and it’s not an issue. If you want to run app install campaigns you’ll have to install the SDK, no way around it.

You have to run Facebook app install ads from your ads manager, not from your Facebook page. First sign up for Facebook Ads Manager and then you can do it.

Could you please advise me what to do, Facebook has blocked my business manager account because I didn't verify my account within 30 days, I was busy with my study and forgot to check the email. I've been trying to run app installment ads for someone. However, even with a LAL of top5k users, the UAC is still beyond $10 per installment, which is insane. I get nowhere close to $1-3, usually what Facebook recommends per installment. Do you know what really determines the cost? It's not even a really competitive niche.

Lots of variables go into the pricing algorithm. Is your creative really good (compared to the competition), are you targeting properly....there could be a lot of issues.
