My parents have one of these with almost 90k miles and zero problems. It has the 2.4L. The transmission isn't the most smooth but overall the car has been dead reliable.

Same for me lol, they traded a 2009 Mini Cooper s 6 speed convertible for it so it’s a bit of a letdown. The fiat handles kind of fun, but yeah the transmission always feels like it’s going to break, and the 2.4 is kind of buzzy. Seeing that I’m going to daily drive the thing soon guess I’d best get used to it

They are telling the truth. I have a base model 500 with 107k miles and it's never had issues. And there's no modern day 4 cylinder car that sounds nearly as good.
