For 2021, the wireless charger is only available if you upgrade to the technology package on the SEL or the elite package on the Titanium trim.

What about the CarPlay issues any update regarding a permanent fix for it? It so frustrating that basically the car picks and chooses when to allow CarPlay connectivity.

I have been driving one for work for over a month now and your review if good though I have to disagree on a few points. The suspension gives it a soft ride but it is a bit too soft soft at highway speeds giving it a floating sensation when going over bumps or rather humps in the road. The leather interior is nice but the drivers seat is very uncomfortable for me. The back of the seat cushion pushes up on my tailbone making it painful to sit after a while and for someone like me who spends the day in the car it is not good. The most annoying thing to me has been the info screen is incredibly laggy! It is frustrating to use and unfortunately you can not avoid using it. Overall a nice and economical vehicle to drive around town but it comes with some typicl Ford shortcomings.

Loved the review, hope the Blue oval introduces The Edge in a hybrid trim.

How come I don’t see many escape going around town, whereas rav4, crv and equinox are everywhere to be seen.

Canadian reviews are fine except we use MPG and MPH and they never translate.

Hi Dan, how would you rate this compared to a Lexus UX250h?
@danilika94203 жыл бұрын
The Escape is quite a bit larger than the UX (it's a lot more similar to the NX in terms of size). And, of course, the UX is a premium vehicle and it shows - not that it's a massive jump up market, but there are certainly signs of its status that go beyond the badge. I'd recommend driving both back to back, but if space is a concern, the Escape is the way to go. Cheers!

@@danilika9420 Thank you Dan. I’m a little surprised you didn’t bring up the track pad in the UX. 😜

@@squrtle888 I decided to spare you the diatribe, but if you’re truly considering the UX, then absolutely - try before you buy! It’s an absolutely atrocious system.

I think in Canada in winter time it’s not the right choice because battery is nit working correctly in cold weather

I mean, ya look out Rav4 Prime... if this wasn't a Ford and that wasn't a Toyota.... Toyotas are WAAAAY more reliable.... worth the extra cost...
@InternetDude4 жыл бұрын
RAV4 looks nicer and is more dependable though...
@danilika94204 жыл бұрын
Granted, the RAV4’s reputation for reliability in general is one of its hallmarks, but it’s not possible to declare either more dependable than the other considering they’re both so new in their current forms. Thanks for watching!

Dan Ilika I’m not familiar with the Escape drivetrain however the RAV4 2.5 gas engine for sure has been out for years.

IF you do the math rav4 interest rates are way higher good to have a ford you will save more money in the long run
@iamhassan99434 жыл бұрын
InternetDude The whole “Toyota so it must be reliable” is old news and quite frankly no longer true. Toyota has had and still has problems with some of their cars, just like all manufacturers. Also the old Ford Escape Hybrid was used as taxis in NYC and known for their reliability. Ford has been doing hybrids for years.
@wilshirewarrior27833 жыл бұрын
@@iamhassan9943 Exactly..the Rav4 has had some serious problems with battery drain and incomplete fueling among others.

Trying to listen to his commentary makes me feel like I just drank 5 energy drinks. Too fast, I can't keep up with you!

Yeah, he talks quite fast. He must have worked at a fast food drive thru taking orders. They always talk so fast you cannot understand them and they do not ENUNCIATE properly, either.
