2020 Ford Explorer ST | Performance Upgrades

Hold on tight! This Ford Explorer ST is not your typical SUV for just picking up groceries. We installed a bunch of go-fast parts such as AFE cold air intake, Whipple intercooler, Borla exhaust, a Blackdog Speed Shop custom tune and a Mishimoto oil catch can! To make it not only fun on the straights but also on the turns, we installed Steeda lowering springs and a strut tower brace. Wait and see the dyno numbers!

UPR catch can is far superior. With the high flow billet fitting and billet one way check valve we have seen a 1.5 MPG increase, and better power under boost.

Get the Explorer!! I also had a 18 ffs. Sadly it got wrecked 😞 had 2 f150s since but now sport around a 23 Explorer st. You won't regret it it's a awesome vehicle. I also have the white paint it's beautiful!! With a few other red accents it really stands out 😊

Yes it was put on the dyno again after the bolts-ons and the tune and gained approximately 55WHP

You can gain a LOT more power than in this video with a better tune & fuel. ZERO bolt-ons required. Although the Intercooler is certainly desired for improved power longevity. As the charge air heats up rather quickly with the smallish turbos, the ECU pulls timing and lowers the desired Load/Torque targets to prevent any serious detonation. The other bolt-ons are simply bling/waste of time/money.

@@PepeDeezNutz He's correct. It's been proven, a quality tune and intercooler is all that's required to put 460+ to the ground on 93. If it's an E50 tune you'll make over 500 at the wheels. ZFGRacing is the tuner to use for those numbers

Drive train loss, awd has the highest drive train loss factor about 18-20% by the time it gets to the wheels. These typically are around 330 wheels. With an intercooler an a tune you can put 400 at the wheels. Add downpipes, intake, and your fav catback, and you can get them in the 440-500 whp range depending on how aggressive your tune is and the fuel .After 500whp you need fueling and turbos then your looking at 650-700 whp.

Idk. The WcoBoosts are pretty bad ass. You can mess with the tuning, the boost you can get is crazy. They would just stick a 5.0 in it and call it a day. And most likely get 400hp
