2020 Ford Focus 1.0 ST Line Review: Still The Best Hatchback? - Inside Lane

This is the all-new Ford Focus ST Line that aims to take on class rivals such as the Volkswagen Golf, Honda Civic, and Seat Leon. Equipped with a 1.0-litre Ecoboost engine, this manual car produces 123bhp. Fuel economy is said to be 49.6mpg combined with emissions of 107g/km CO2.
ST Line cars get graphite 17-inch alloy wheels, sporty bodywork, and red stitching for the interior. The latest version of Ford's Sync 3 infotainment system is presented on an 8-inch touchscreen. Boot space is 273-litres.
The new Ford Focus hatchback remains a great car to drive and plenty practical for a family.

Just bought one and it's awesome. The only negative is the headlights fog up in cold weather. But aslong as you can accept that there's not a problem. It's easily the best looking car for the money.

I have the ST line Eco boost and I've previously had Audi's, BMW's and VW's. I am amazed how well the Focus handles. I don't like the lack of a reversing camera and the air conditioning is ridiculous. I may have to go back to the dealer to get it sorted. It's a great car.

Oh so there is a difference between the ST-line and Active hatch other than the ride height? The active gets the better rear suspension? Where I'm from ford has the two of them priced and speced equally and I chose the ST-line. Mistake?

With this engine, how’s the engine sound from inside? Would I be able to hear the turbo whistle kicking in with such a small engine?

All I heard was the tappets because I had to rev the balls of it to do 50. And forget overtaking that can't happen you just need to put up with the slug Infront you haven't the power to pass I chewed on the steering wheel for three months was very glad when it ended......

@@bollxd I've had the st-line-x for a few months now, the turbo lag is definitely noticeable, but you do have the choice of a few different engines. Got to agree with you though, it's pretty slow.

Never in my life have I driven such a slow car. I had a 950 cc mk 2 fiesta that had more go than this. Bumblebees and flies splatter on the rear not the front 🤣 as for the hybrid part what utter crap that is purely a gimmick. had the unpleasant ownership of one for three months it averaged 37 mpg? The listed 56mpg is total crap too. I was glad to get rid kept falling asleep whilst behind the wheel. Giving it the st badge is a travesty.

Lots of cars are as slow or even slower then this, and if the only thing that matters for you is speed then just get a bike. As an a-b car one could do worse as this rides good and is cheap to own. If you are looking for a fast car this video and car really is not relevant.
