The Tremor is more real word capable IMO. The Raptor is a better true off road/play truck. Depends on what youre using the truck for. I think the F250 Tremor with the Lariat package and the 7.3L is a better overall value. Get Lariat sport appearance package with it too!

My son and I used to be a Chevy guys (and still are as far as cars go), but when it comes to the HD trucks, you can't beat the Fords. I don't say that lightly, and we took a lot of shit from our buddies. We now have 2 F-350's (one bulletproofed 6.0 and one V-10 gasser), and I just bought a new 6.7L F-450 a few months ago. It's nicer inside than my Escalade!!! I liked the older Chevy trucks (1500's) MUCH better than the Fords, but no way I'm buying a HD truck with an IFS. The Fords we have are just tough as nails and never had any issues other than routine maintenance and wear & tear items (after we replaced the engine in my son's 6.0 and built it right that is ;) ).

Chevrolet makes nice muscle cars, but I the truck world, Ford would be better. A 1969 Camaro would definitely beat a same year Mustang, but I know you're not talking about muscle cars.

Thirsty Dogs Absolutely. I’ll take a firebird or camaro over a mustang any day. Love the old oldsmobiles as well. My ‘05 GTO/6-speed with a couple minor bolt-on mods kicked ass doing 0-60 in 3 sec. and got 30+mpg on the highway! Just over $25k out the door brand new. Can’t beat that.

I’ll take the Tremor with the 7.3L Godzilla motor. Lighter weight, better off road, higher payload, less expensive, more reliable, easier to maintain, and won’t bankrupt you with repairs once the warranty expires.

Raptor! Has more driving modes. Diesel engine in tremor = higher fuel cost + engine repair . Too heavy up front for serious off road use..

If I were to buy one of these aluminum bodied trucks it would be the Tremor but with the 7.3 gas engine because unless you have a place to plug in ablock heater the gas engine would be the better way to go if you must park your truck outside when the temps get down into the teens and 20s below zero here in Northeastern Wisconsin but much colder than that like is the case in some parts of the country and you would need a block heater no matter which engine you get

When will your truck arrive? I noticed I can’t find them anywhere at the dealerships so maybe ordering is the way to go. How do you order trucks online? Just call the dealership or do it all from the website?

@@jeremyhaimes2613 We were given a time frame of about 8 - 10 weeks for the build of our truck to be completed. We also couldn't find any at the dealership, and it was actually a dealer at one of the dealerships who suggested we do our build online. Once we had the build we wanted, we could either print it out and take it in, or just email it to him. We chose to print it out and take it in so we could talk it over with the dealer, and they were able to get us a better price for the build then the website quoted. Go to www.ford.com, the click 'Shop' at the top. Under the Research option, select 'Build & Price'. From the vehicle options, pick '2020 Super Duty'. After that 'Build Your Own'. For our build we started off with F-250, Crew Cab, 6-3/4' Box, SRW for Rear Wheel Options, and 160" Wheelbase. We then selected the F-250 Lariat and customized from there. Hope this helps!

They're both about $10000 overpriced, but the Tremor is more truck for the money. I'm starting to save up now for the 2022 Ranger Raptor, but if for some reason Ford doesn't release it I'll probably go with the Tremor.

What are your intentions for the truck? Gonna tow, or haul a lot of heavy stuff, and off road? Got to pull that trailer into deer camp, or haul your Toy Box full dirt toys off the beaten path? The Tremor with a diesel, or the 7.3 gas. If towing isn’t a concern and you want to really off road your truck the Raptor all day long. It is going to have more capability off road, and better turning radius. The Raptor is also going to have quicker acceleration. I would also wager better gas mileage. In a perfect world I would have both!

$8k price difference is about the same difference between a diesel & gasser F-350. I would definitely go with the Tremor. No full-size truck should have less than 8-cylinders!!! I don't know WTF Ford was thinking when they dropped a V-8 option in the Raptor. I would buy a used Raptor with a 6.2 before ever buying an eco-boost V-6, even if it had 100,000 miles and cost the same!!!

Both are beautiful trucks. If the goal is an actual “off road” truck, then the Raptor is it. The solid front axle and heavy springs in the Tremor will beat you to death.

I have both. Just received my Tremor last week. The Tremor having a true limted slip in front is a huge advantage. The cab creature comforts of the Tremor is Awesome. Still dig my Raptor but the Tremor is my do all.

I didn’t look at a tremor. Maybe I should have. I bought a raptor four days ago, still trying to figure out why it’s so expensive. I’ve owned six trucks in my lifetime, I really don’t see why this one is any better than A truck that I owned 20 years ago except for the stereo. Yes, I fully understand its capabilities, but as of now they are highly overrated. It looks awesome! Sounds like crap, still trying to get past that V6 sound. But it certainly doesn’t feel any different than any other 4 Wheel Dr. truck I’ve owned.

I have a tremor and a gen 1 raptor. I'll be daily driving the tremor and having the raptor for weekend shenanigans. The raptor feels like a sports car compared to the tremor. The tremor is a little more comfortable, in terms of materials, insulation and room, but the raptor rides better. I haven't taken the tremor offroad yet but it is clear it cant touch the raptor on high speed sections. If I jumped the tremor my spine would fall out. If I had to choose between the two, I would choose the raptor. The tremor is far too complicated and full of tech, I fear reliability with that truck.
