2020 IMDG Code Compliance Deadline Extended

----DOT Revises 49 CFR Hazmat Regulations
DOT PHMSA finalized a rule to adopt petitions to revise the Hazardous Materials Regulations in ways that reduce regulatory burdens faced by shippers, carriers, and stakeholders.
The revised regulations take effect on December 28, and major improvements include:
• Making limited quantity exceptions available for 114 corrosive substances; • Allowing non-RCRA waste materials to be packed in lab packs;
• Changes to align the HMR with international regulations
-----2020 IMDG Code on Sale Now The International Maritime Organization released a statement recently to say they plan to release the 2020 Edition of the IMDG Code in January 2021.
IMO also delayed mandatory compliance with the 2020 Edition until June 1, 2022.
