I’ve got a 2017 right hand drive Jeep SRT back here in the Uk 🇬🇧 and it’s been my daily driver for 2 years. 100% agree with your comments. I’ve hit 4.1 secs 0-60 just after full dealer service with 99 octane premium petrol. The 8 speed ZF gearbox (by Mercedes Benz) is rapid changing in track mode. The 6.4 L HEMI rumbles and sings. Best car I’ve had and extremely great value for money compared to equivalent Range Rovers, Jaguars and German rivals. Just love the sound of the V8!

Love it! Happy to connect with a UK SRT owner! Completely agree with your comment. Its really hard to beat the rawness of this car especially considering what’s available on the street right now. Last spring my wife and I were in Scotland and right hand driving was so hard lol

It’s funny, I’ve driven in the US several times (Evansville, Hartsviille, Louisville, Chicago) and at first struggled with automatic cars and driving left hand drive cars on what we consider the wrong side of the road. That’s how a got hooked on your V8’s 😊

Insurance in UK must be unreal for an SRT that and Fuel is costing what 10k a year?

@@Kiwi_Dave insurance is good as it’s related driver’s age, claims history, area and mileage etc…. Fuel bill is determined by driving style and mileage. I don’t smoke, don’t gamble, don’t drink but love driving cars, especially very special ones like the Jeep SRT. It’s all about choices and priorities that make you happy

man you hit it right on the nail. I'm quite a bit older but you have the same opinions and feeling as I. This may be one of my favorite videos. I have an SRT also and it is a blast to enjoy.I was in a Ram 1500 and when I found this SRT I knew it was now time to say the hell with the gas milage and from what I understand Jeep is not producing the V8 for 2024. So Im glad there are guys like you out there wanting to keep the dream alive.

This comment makes me really happy man. I’m happy that the message resonated with you. I’m all about old school driving pleasure and just having a good time driving a cool car. Whatever brand/make/model it may be. Best of luck and joy to you and your SRT and THANK YOU so much for these words. They really mean a lot and make me want to make more videos like this ❤️

I went from a 1969 Camaro SS 396 to my 2020 SRT. I love the decision I made, and I agree, possibly the last of a dying breed! Great video, and as always, thx for keeping it real....

Look at adding a Hellcat or Melling high volume oil pump first. Try to stay ahead of the possible Hemi tick/lifter issue with the 6.4. Congratulations

Im really in a pickle...I currently have a 2015 Jeep GC Altitude. Ive been wanting either a '20 or '21 SRT. Ive been looking at YT video reviews on SRTs for days. I really want one. Im just worried about running into problems and having to spend thousands of dollars in repairs.

Thanks for comment man! That makes sense. I think if you are to get a used SRT, you absolutely need to make sure whomever you purchase from has all the service records so you know what was changed/what to expect. And yea, any car like this especially a high performance one will have maintenance issues that pop up here and there- its just par for the course on a car like this. I think that if at every oil change you do a look through on the entire car you shouldn’t have anything major surprise you. Or at least a trusted tech can tell you what to look for or what is starting to go on it. Best of luck in your decision. I do hope you make the jump - its an awesome and very fun car that brightens my day, every day

I like that mod list☑️☑️. Right now I just have the Corsa Extreme Catback. Due to my active lifestyle, I needed something that could do everything I demanded while maintaining a high fun factor. Its a beast in the snow, comfortable on road trips, a tow monster, etc.

Currently own a 2018 jgc srt with 47,000 miles and absolutely love it however I am fully aware of the 6.4 mds issues as far as lifters and cam. I just hope that dreaded misfire code that usually indicates that issues is occurring stays far far away. So far it’s all grins and smiles.
@driversanonymousNYC
@driversanonymousNYC Жыл бұрын
Eesh that scares me. I’ve been getting misfire codes after I tuned the car. Maybe once every 2-3 weeks. I asked my mechanic, he said it was no big deal bc of the temperature fluctuations we get here in NYC. It was especially bad during winter. I guess I should look deeper into it. Thank you for your input, truly. Have you had any maintenance items come up in your 47k miles?
