Z900(2020) is so much value for the money. Just good enough brakes ,chassi, updated suspension to previous model.Great smooth engine and gearbox. Electronic aids are really useful. Very safe to ride with 60% power mode when its pissing down rain. And it got plenty of range with 17L tank.

Grreat review mate!!! Did you experiment some annoying vibration on the bar at highway speed (130 - 140 km/h)? Thx
@itsallaboutthez9007
@itsallaboutthez9007 2 жыл бұрын
Hi mate, Thanks for watching, To be honest not really at those speeds but have noticed a bit of a buzz on the bars at lower speeds. Nothing that bothers me but I also think it has a bit to do with me not getting it remapped yet. Once I do I think I would be better placed to give a proper answer for you as I expect things to smooth out a bit after. Bike has become all round a touch more raw with the full system on it. On start up you can hear the engine go through sequence figuring out its got a different pipe on it, After about a minute she settles down and is happy but I put that down to myself not going the last step yet. Will do a post of what she is like after a remap and let you know how she is then. Thanks mate, Stay upright!

Hi Stefan and thank you mate, I just got the bar ends from eBay, very cheap ones and if they stood the test of time I would look back and tell you who I got them from, sadly though they may look good but the glass isn’t up to much, have got black spots on them already where the backing has deteriorated. There are plenty out there of the same style mate but I would look for a better brand. Mine were a China jobby. Sorry I can’t help more in that respect mate, how are you finding the bike? Even if you can’t ride it yet it’s one of those bikes that makes you feel good just looking at it! Hope you get to enjoy it soon enough, I love mine to bits, a fantastic bike and great value for money. Stay safe and upright mate and may the sun shine in Denmark very soon for ya 😎👍

Hey mate. Is it need a tune or remap for the header. Or is it just plug and play. ? If it’s not tune do hear any popping sound when you down shift. I heard nothing in this video. I plan to put headers on mine but don’t want the hassle for tuning it. Thank you mate. Great video
@itsallaboutthez9007
@itsallaboutthez9007 3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, As far as I'm aware they are plug in and play. I only say that as if you look on Delvekic website ( my header make ) they state you don't need to remap for their headers. How true that is I'm not sure but if they put it in writing on the site you would hope they can stand behind it. As for popping yes I get loads of it, Good or bad it sounds crazy! thing is when I got the bike and put the Yoshimura can on it I could hear the popping then but more of a rumble rather than a defined pop, Knew it would amplify it with the headers on. That said I will be getting a tune soon as I can anyway as I'm not honestly convinced it's good for the bike as it is. I will get out this weekend and do a drive by to show the pops for you. Meanwhile have a look at this link for the headers and see what you think regarding what they say about tuning. Thanks for the nice comment mate and all the best! delkevic.com.au/downpipes/Kawasaki/Z900%20/2020/kawasaki-z900-4-into-1-stainless-steel-downpipes-2017-2020-oem-compatible.html

What brand of down pipes did you install? Did you have to dyno tune? Does the ecu allow a quick shifter? I didn’t catch why you chose this over MT-09? I am looking myself and hard to get test drives in US.
@itsallaboutthez9007
@itsallaboutthez9007 3 жыл бұрын
Hello mate, My downpipes are Delkevic. They are pretty decent, Normally would go Akra as I'm a fan of those but I am more than happy with these, Not to mention they were half the price of Akras. Not had the Dyno tuned yet, Just blocked off an air intake as it was popping like crazy, That sorted that and also smoothed out the ride back to what it was like when stock. Bike is now 1,000 miles away from me as I have moved states but got caught in bloody lockdown mid move. Intend to finish up the mods and tune when I get back to her. As for this or MT09, I had the MT07 before this, Love the breed but thought long and hard about it. Compared like crazy, saw many reviews and have rode an MT09, Whiles its also a great bike for myself I have no regrets and would not swap the z900 for the 09. some comparisons, The clocks on the 09 have always bugged the crap out of me, small and offset with lcd screen where as on the 900 the screen is 4.2inch and TFT colour, I can't remember if the 09 has traction control but the z900 has 4 modes, 1,2,3 and off. I also just prefer the seating position and in general the looks as well. As for a quick shifter, My mate has just fitted one on his z1000 and I also intend to do the same soon as I'm up north. Will do some more vids on the mods too. Just need to get out of the bloody lockdown. Anyway hope that helped but end of the day the right choice is the one that even parked in the garage still makes you smile. Good luck mate.

Also have a good family friend who is in the police force local to me and he has said it's not high on the agenda for them. That said if you get a pull and you are an arsehole to them they will pick it and anything else you got that's border line. Lesson is just be nice to them, They are just doing a job and to be honest where would we be without them ( watch me go out tomorrow and get busted, then come back and curse the crap out of them ) ;)

Going from the MT 07 you will not be disappointed. I loved the MT but after about one or two rides I was in love with the Z. soon forgetting how I enjoyed the MT, had done 26,000 klm on that in 2 years, all just fun riding no commuting but very glad I have the Z now mate, Can't go wrong with it, A lot of bike for the money!

Hey mate, Was reliable informed by Delkavic that they design the headers so as not to need a re-map once on. That said I will be looking to get it on a Dyno soon as I can slip the missing funds past the wife ;)

@@itsallaboutthez9007 ok that sounds interesting, the ECU may be advanced enough to adjust also. Tell the wife it will save massively on fuel costs 🤣 thus paying for itself.

Hey mate, I'm 5ft 9.5 inch or 1.76 meter. Leg room and riding position is fine for me, A little leaned forward but not in a harsh way.

@@itsallaboutthez9007 How do you think it would fit a 6ft tall rider?
@itsallaboutthez9007
@itsallaboutthez9007 3 жыл бұрын
@@justcoolin3384 Hey mate, I'm 1.5inch shy of that but it fits me fine. Pegs are not too high and I tend to go for long rides, Pretty much all day in the saddle and can't say the legs have ever felt cramped, Arse has felt uncomfy after a few hours, could do with a softer seat for long rides I guess but plenty of leg room. I sat on a cbr600 before buying this and that was about as uncomfy a bike I have ever sat on regarding leg room, By comparison the z900 is a recliner. Also seating postion is slightly leaned forward but just enough to feel sporty and make getting off the side of the seat easier, Not much wrist strain at all though I do tend to find myself leaning on them with straight arms now and then on the longer rides. Good luck mate.

@@itsallaboutthez9007 Thanks. Was trying to decide between the z900 and the MT09. I too like long rides so your response is much appreciated in making my decision.

@itsallaboutthez9007 3 жыл бұрын
@@justcoolin3384 Yeah I hear ya, was same decision I had to make, I had the MT07 for 2 years before getting the Z so am a fan of that range. I think the price was pretty close when comparing with the MT09 sp but of the few things that pushed me more towards the Z a big one was the clocks. Never been a fan of the 09 clock, Too small and really don't like the offset position. Is also only LCD by comparison to the TFT on the Z, I'm doing a vid very soon just about the clocks as I think they warrant it. Not knocking the 09 as a whole but I'm glad I went with the Z every time I swing a leg. Let me know what you choose mate, End of the day I would ride anything just to get out so we are fortunate either way. Good luck.
