@Choukei_San It's not just about weight! The Lexus IS 350 with 1 KW MORE, and 2 NM less than the RC 350, does the 0-100 in 5.9 seconds. It weighs only 100 kilos less than the RC 350. I just think this hasn't been set up to be as fast from factory.

@@Zenzuu exactly! There's only about 200 kilos difference between the Aurion and this RC 350. The Aurion is down 32KW, 40ISh NM of torque, and doesn't have a clever ultra quick gearbox and is still slightly faster than this. Alas, I do think it is as I said before, they didn't set it up from factory to he as quick as it could be in its currently guise.

I still love the design and the na engine of this car, despite being slower than its newer rivals. Unfortunately in Italy you can have only the RC Hybrid with the eCVT and that needs almost 9s to reach 100km/h...

Yes. It's a shame. I really hope that Lexus/Toyota will correct the shot for the next generation that will come with the inline 6. If they choose to have this "one model fits all" approach for Europe, that we could have the inline 6 with the hybrid powertrain and a 10 speed automatic. What they did for the US market for the Camry in a certain way.

Well at first I was eager to see more but... The sound, for a naturally-aspirated V6 is not that great TBH... even some V6t sound better :( The weight is ridiculous regarding the size of the car, thus it makes it really slow. Even slower than several 2.0D... That's a car I would like to like but I can't :(

Everybody talks about how slow these things are , it's the price of 2 Mustangs. I'm sure if the owners wanted something faster they could have done so. Owners of these cars want to be pampered as they float down the highway in style. But these days it's all about the numbers. A second here or a tenth there, it doesnt matter. Who cares if a kia is faster, it's still a kia lol. This is not a sports car, it's a GTcar. Plus there will ALWAYS be something faster!

The problem is with the driver. A 2016 Toyota Aurion with a 200kw and 336Nm less powerful V6 did 6.6sec 0 to 100km/h. This one with 236kw and 380 nm should be better. Traction control was turned off the Aurion

It’s actually a lot quicker in manual “sport plus” mode. They’ll do 0-60 mph in about 5.5 sec with good tires.

The fact it is a Lexus is enough reason (for me at least) to buy it over any other German car. The reliability of this car is incredible. Ask me, I’ve owned mine for the past 5 years and I’ve had zero issues whatsoever with it (knocking very hard on wood).

I checked my rc 350 f sport accelerations. 0-100km :6.632sec Since i record this, I was carrying my luggage, so it was 160 kilograms more including my weight. Not so slow

@@takeakiohi2776 Oh ok. That's why you are getting a quicker time. We use a GPS Racelogic Vbox Sport - it is much more accurate than simply using a stop watch. Most vehicles have speedometers that are out by around 2-6%, so when you see 100km/h your car may in fact be only doing 98-94km/h (give or take). Hope that helps.

Is Lexus going to ever release an all new IS/RC with a new engine and transmission? The IS/RC350 is so old and the 3.5L V6 is not competitive with BMW, Audi or Mercedes’ turbocharged engines. I also still detest the Lexus grille and their infotainment system is pretty poor. For the price of this RC I would much rather have a Tesla Model 3 LR AWD, 340i, C43, or S4.

I did 5.2s 0-60 on a 2016 Lexus Is350 F Sport 1/4 fuel tank on Manual Mode(shifts faster than auto mode). is350 is Faster than the Rc350 due to being a Lighter car.

This is just a video. We do plenty of testing behind-the-scenes with the Vbox Sport, including shifting manually at high rpm.

@@odugs The video is shot separately. We simply do a few runs with the camera on, purely to demonstrate how it goes (and try to show a good run). Then we do performance testing with the Vbox. We try out all modes, multiple runs, traction on/off, sport mode, manual mode etc. The times at the end are the best result overall. We can't confirm/remember what mode we had it in during the best test. We don't film every single Vbox test otherwise it would take too long in editing to match all footage with the corresponding Vbox tests (sometimes we run up to 10 tests, especially with manual vehicles). Hope that makes sense.
