Ben, I'm pretty sure you tested the Aviator with the PHEV battery depleted. There should have been a "Pure EV mode" choice when you were switching through the drive settings. If the battery was depleted, that selection is not visible. It also appears that the battery icon appears empty on the dashboard display. I had this same experience when doing a test drive at a dealer. Once they charged it up for me, then I got access to the other settings. There are several reviewers that are mentioning a hard transition between electric/ICE that negatively affects the drivability of the PHEV version of this car. Some, in fact, have recommended staying with the ICE only version and say it drives more consistently. Did you notice any of this?

Interesting...This is exactly the model that I would personally wish to purchase so thanks! I certainly hope to hell that the Lincoln brand does not continue on with the craptacular fit and finish with it's parent company's interiors fit and finish. I pray it's nothing like ford's build quality!
