Just bought a CPO 2019 MKC Reserve instead of a new Corsair. We did NOT like the Corsair interior or controls nearly as well as the MKC. It was more then half, but we still saved a bundle on a vehicle we like better, and the CPO warranty is better than new.

Obviously you compared a lower MKC trim level to the higher Corsair. I agree it is an upgrade over the MKC- great job by Lincoln. But you need to compare like for like. Maybe a MKC Reserve to the Corsair.

Not a very favorable comparison. You had a “base level” model MKc and a “top level” model Corsair. I have 2019 MKc and everything you said was an “upgraded” part is all on my vehicle, only I have the 2.3L turbo and AWD in my MKc. Don’t try to push the sales of the Corsair without a fair comparison! Granted the Corsair is a beautiful vehicle, I would much rather drive the 2019 and not pay the depreciation on a 2020.

I have a 2016 MKC Select and I'm looking at the Corsair Reserve I to replace it. The MKC you used is the Select trim which is below the Black Label and Reserve trim, and up from the Standard trim. The Corsair offers a Standard, Reserve l and Reserve II trim (no Black Label). It looks like you used a Corsair Reserve I for comparison. You should have mentioned the trims you were comparing. There are packages and many options you can add on, to both models, like a Technology or Elements Package, for example, that add features and cost. Heated steering wheel, larger wheels, etc. are available with certain packages on the MKC. Cargo net is not available in the Corsair. The "monstrosity of a center cluster" you described on the MKC actually has everything nicely integrated in the center console. In the Corsair the screen is perched-up, alone, on the console-big difference and personal preference on that! The amount of perforation the seats have are different depending on what trim you're looking at. I don't feel this was a fair comparison. Why not compare a fully loaded MKC Reserve with a fully loaded Corsair Reserve II, or even a I, for a closer comparison, especially when you're emphasizing trim.

If you are buying a new car the Corsair would be the choice unless they discount the MKC 5K or 6K then the MKC would be a better choice based on value. If money is no concern just buy what you want. I have a 2017 MKC. Purchased certified preowned and would not consider upgrading.

This review is completely accurate. Most of the interior is a refreshing upgrade from the MKC. Design-wise most everything is far superior. The dash is elegant, the seats are more beautiful, center console seems more functional, the steering column is and looks far more luxurious. It’s bright and airy inside and seems larger than it is. The size of the vehicle, like the MKC, makes it such an easy car to drive for getting around town. I’ve been in both and ended up with a Corsair. Picking it up next week.

The strange “tone” coming from the MKC just means it’s entered low power mode (low battery) or the speaker system hasn’t fully booted. It actually has a much nicer chime normally

Lincoln needs to reduce their prices for the Corsair because it approaches Nauitlus territory of pricing when well-equipped or fully-loaded. And the same goes for the Aviator encroaching on Navigator priced when well-equipped or fully-loaded

2019 MKC - Reserve... with the 2.7 Turbo - 19 inch rims - 245-45-19 tires and all the Reserve accessories that match that higher end Corsair.... I was laughing at the cheaper model of MKC that you compared against. The nail in the coffin of the Corsair is the placement of the vid screen where it is popping up above the dash.. whereas my MKC has the 8 inch screen in the center console - out of the way and not in the line of sight of the driver when looking out the window. Another nail in the coffin is the tail light configuration. You liked the Corsair's smaller and skinnier tail lights... whereas I prefer the slightly larger AND MORE CLEARLY SEEN tail lights of the MKC. You will understand when a Corsair gets rammed from behind when the other driver didn't see the smaller and skinnier tail light of the Corsair when it was braking suddenly... And eight gears vs six gears... that fails to impress me, it just means the Corsair has to work its way through 8 gears... whereas my MKC just has to work through 6... Overall... the MKC - with the Reserve package and the 19 inch rims and 245 tires beats the Corsair hands down and I don't agree that an extra $5000 is money well spent. The trick at this time is to run around and search for a low miler used MKC with the Reserve or Black Label package - the 2.7 Turbo would be an extra bonus and you would probably save about $20,000 taking this route.

Yes, we just opted for a CPO 2019 MKC Reserve and without a doubt prefer it over the Corsair. We own a 2017 MKC Select, so we got all the higher-end features without the goofy iPad bolt-on looking screen in the way in the Corsair. Saved a bunch, got a vehicle we like better, and the CPO warranty is better than new. Honestly, the Corsair just misses the mark in satisfying existing Lincoln lovers. Maybe they are trying to lure BMW drivers? Who knows. But we love the MKC.

You get ventilated seats on the MKC Reserve & Black Label. For the Corsair you can get it in the Elements Package on the Standard trim, & is standard on the Reserve trim of the Corsair

I think the MKC by far looks better. The front is more aggressive and the back the mkc is way better. The Corsairs rear looks like it’s squinting. The only thing I like on the Corsair is the side vent.

I wish the rear end of the Corsair was more distinctive over the MKC because they look nearly identical from the rear aside from a few minor differences. But even the tailgate shape looks identical. It would've look better if the taillights were split between the body & tailgate to have a C shape LED brake light imo in order to better differentiate the two from each other

245hp & 275lbs torque in the MKC isn't much less. And besides BOTH engines reach the same RPM numbers so neither is quicker than the other.

How come there isn't any Black Label version of the Corsair? I mean if the MKC had a Black Label, then Lincoln should offer it in the Corsair but they are charging a lot more off the Corsair when it's well-equipped or fully-loaded. They need to reduce the prices on the Corsair with all of the available options they offer. There are some expensive packages that are offered onth Corsair. They make it expensive to get the Perfect Position seats by making you have to go up to the Reserve trim & the Reserve II tier with the 2.3L engine. What does the engine have to do with massaging front seats?! 🤦🏽‍♂️🙄 Many people would be perfectly fine with the base engine & just being able to massaging front seats if they want that

How much a car is worth to a person is 100% subjective. I can tell you right now, expect to get around $1000-1800 off msrp when buying Corsair. Expect $4000-6000 off msrp when buying mkc.

I am looking for a used Lincoln and at 8:50 the deal was sealed, I want an MKC. Joy stick on the steering column ... nope, not gonna do it. I guarantee you it will be as much as a PITA as was the Lexus idea of a mouse pad. I am sure this younger guy likes the joy stick but he is the age of the people who like to stare at other places while driving (phone users). Glitzy faux chrome plastic on the Corsair looks cheaper to me. That giant computer screen that rises above the dash - not for me. Car manufacturers are leaving me behind. No seat comparison on the Corsair? Clearly this guy likes bright and shiny objects (faux chrome interior).

This is not a comparison You did not compare apples to apples. Different equipment packages on each car. 18inch rims on mkc vs 19inch rims on Corsair for one example. You don't just get more on the corsair there is more option packages on that corsair then the MKC .That's the Reason it's 5k more. I have a MKC and just ordered a corsair. Both my cars are fully equipped. And there is not a 5k difference between the 2 . Same equipment on both . Except one more option on my corsair which still was nowhere near 5k more. Read equipment before doing comparisons. The one thing you do have right the corsair is more premium then the mkc. I agree there
