It’s funny how this very first game involves drugs, guns, and the murder of a high schooler. none of the games after this one involve violent crimes guns or drugs. I think they maybe decided it was inappropriate? Idk but it does seem jarring to revisit this game!

Technically you're playing as a specific character with a specific personality who has a role in a specific story so yes, you could consider ND as a role-playing adventure game, you're just not playing with other players
