For those who say Fortuner is crap the problem is Toyota Philippines believe Filipinos should be given entry level crap. They removed everything. My friends and I who lived in the Philippines before were surprised that the local 4.5 V8 Land Cruiser VX had its JBL speakers, original head unit, 21 inch rims removed and replaced with cheap locally sourced products. And had it 360 camera, backup camera, more advanced sensors, power tail gate, and 2 tv screens removed. It begs us to ask. Toyota Philippines charging for same or more expensive than abroad and they do this BS. Same goes for 4 cylinder and V6 Prado. Camry, Fortuner, Corolla, and a few others. Toyota is not the problem. Toyota Philippines is the problem.

Montero nalang ako if value for the money. Mahirap lang talaga mawala yung 'stigma' ng toyota reliability dito sa pinas. Advance na technology ngayon kumpara noon. Toyota, Mitsubishi at Isuzu halos magkakaparehas na in terms of durability. Nasa end user nalang kung paano maintenance.

Guys, Toyota Philippines is replacing ORIGINAL head units with their locally source crap. When I was in the Philippines my friends and I owned at least one of either a Patrol Royale or a LC200. The LC200 needed so much upgrades to actually be good on the interior. Toyota Philippines is milking people’s wallet for sub standard crap.

A lot of people seem to comment that the new Montero looks like an Xpander on steroids. FYI, nagaadopt ang Mitsubishi sa *"Corporate Grille Concept"* . Its already obvious nung nilabas na nila ang design ng Mirage and Mirage G4 which also has the same front fascia as the latest Mitsubishi models. The same as Mazda having the happy mouth grille and BMW having the kidney grille in their models.

Shadow Hedgehog True. Leading car brands down grade their car features to make it more affordable in our country. Price conscious daw kasi tayo. Nagmukha tuloy tayo 3rd world country???😩 Apparently, the value of our money is lower than Thai Baht. THB 1 is equivalent to PHP 1.6 more or less. So expect the new Montero price to go up if PH will follow Thai specs. However, I like what Mazda did. What you see in Malaysia and Thailand specs, etc. you also have here. The new Mazda CX-30 and CX-8 looks stunning and elegant. Though it comes with a reasonable price but people still buy it.👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Buti pa Chinese brands, ang ganda nang specs nila. Mas mura pa!😂👍🏻✌🏻

the features of lane departure warning, rear cross trafffic alert and blind spot is only present on the 4x4 model which will be release next year not on the 4x2 model as shown in the video. Also it is not appropriate to compare the Everest Bi turbo to the GT since it is 4x4 high end variant.

My friend and I occupy the whole 2nd row of Montero and it is tight. We are 5’11 and 6’2. Terra is the same but we can still put a little kid or dog between us. Montero fails to deliver in terms of dimensions. But if you below 5’8 I don’t think this will be an issue for you.

Kristina Cusi I’m 5’11 180lbs and my friend who is 6’2 220 lbs seated comfortably on the 2nd row last March when we visited the Philippines. 2019 Terra VL 4x2. Though with our height and body frame obviously we can’t fit in the 3rd row comfortably and 2nd row we can only fit 2 people and a small child in the middle. Still prefer Nissan Patrol Royale and Toyota LC for Japanese lineup. Expedition and Suburban is also a treat to be in but I heard service centres there for American vehicles are bad.

Take UMW Toyota Motor Malaysia for example, They offer advance safety features such as 360-degree view camera, rear-cross traffic alert, etc... I know Toyota Motor Philippines keeps giving less features in ther model range. If I was a executive working at Toyota Philippines, I would consider adding many features, then pricing it competitively against its rivals. Toyota PH shouldn't even overpricing their prices as compared to other brands present in the country. If they want their own success, they should offer more features as found on overseas models.

No. Actually i find the design more versatile than the previous model, the extra layer of bumper at the front makes more of an aggressive approach with extra fog lights to match the placement of fog light in the unused space underneath the main lamps and to top it off with a robust look that not only feels like its ready to take on the road but also makes it more appealing even the most dirtiest situation.
