When you get 2 manufacturers of the most iconic brands together on the one car, you know you have something special. That famous and outstanding car that can be recognized anywhere and add an engine that is the pinnacle of power, then you have something special. This car attracts attention as soon as you hear that instinctive sound of that engine that can only be the sound of something special coming up the road, and then to see that car, you can instantly know it's a mustang.
From this well made model that first attracts you with its brilliant paintwork that is just flawless. That deep blue with that twin strip that goes from the bottom front, right through to the bottom of the back bumper gives added attention to show both the design, but also shows the power under the hood.
This model's body has 2 wide opening doors, as well as a reasonable opening boot that is finished off with the engine bonnet, allowing good access to all parts of the model. All parts fit tightly with an excellent amount of minimal gaps that close evenly when closed to form a flawless finish just like the original. The wheels with the mag wheels, also show even the disc brakes with the callipers rotors, show just how much attention to detail this model has been made. Smaller parts such as the rear vision mirrors, spoilers and the lights have been fitted exceptionally well. There are minimal decals that show just the Shelly cobra, but while there are no mustang decals, we know from the body that this is the iconic mustang.
The interior is done in black that mixes well with that exterior colour, showing an exceptional amount of detail. If you were to look at the same real Mustang, you would find that same detail has been transferred to this model. You can see even the small items like the radio, air vents and the controls on the centre console. The seat details show even the levers that are used to move back to move the seat back and down. This model came as a 2 seater so even the seat belts can be seen. The steering wheel that you can use to turn the front wheels, has even through incredible die making shows how detailed are the wheel levers that control indicators and other controls from the steering wheel.
The engine details overall of the scale show reasonable detail for these models. We need to make some allowance, and considering this range of models around, this represents one of the better ones. Perhaps one would have liked a better additional colour to some parts would no doubt have made this that much better.
And lastly, the underneath of our model. It shows the gearbox and exhaust system is silver and the rest is simply black. It displays the suspension in great detail front and rear as well as showing the final driveshaft and rear axle in great detail.
Overall impressions, I love the colour combination, with that addition of the white stripes that give it that impression of power. This model, like its real one, stands out. Very collectable and again will have that instant attraction. I like it as it shows that great American muscle cars still can make one stop and admire it. On a scale of 5.0, I give it a 4.5 / 5.0.
