A very informative and well edited video. As for the fuel consumption, what would be an average number when moving in the city with doing some motoring ? More like 6-6,5 litres/100 kms or probably less ?

By rule of thumb you can expect combined average to be less than sustained 140 km/h consumption. I saw 5,9 long term on one of these. From my little experiments on familiar roads I can say it is extremely efficient for a petrol. On par with old 1,9 TDIs for normal driving.

Hi guys, fantastic video as always. Can I ask you, what do you think of a Skoda Octavia, maybe 2018 or 2019 with this engine? It looks impressive here in the Scala, but is it underpowered? I'm thinking of buying one, but I currently have a 2 litre diesel Insignia with 140 HP and I'm expecting that obviously the skoda to be slower. My question is, would I find a huge difference? I tried to test drive one the other day, but my local Skoda dealer kept trying to sell me a 1.6 tdi but I wanted a petrol. I know it would have less torque than my own car. Thanks so much and sorry about the long question.

Hi with skoda scala and 1.0 tsi 115 hp was enough, but if heavy uphill not so powerful with 6 speed manual, if with octavia would be bit heavier, but i recommend with automatic :) or 1.5 tsi :), i was very satisfied with 1.5 tsi on octavia and scala than 1.0 tsi 115 hp.

But what about 1.5 tsi with 130 hp? This would be better than 115hp 1.0 and cheapet than 150 hp 1.5 tsi

@@TESTDRIVEFREAK Thanks a lot, I live in Ireland, and unfortunately we didn't get the option for 1.5 tsi. Options were 1.0 tsi, 1.6 tdi or 2.0 tdi vrs. Vrs would be my choice but too expensive, 1.6 tdi is annoying cause of 5 speed, so that leaves 1.0. I know I could buy a DSG but I've heard so many bad things about DSG 7 about clutch packs failing and refusing to go into gear etc I'd rather stick with a manual out of fear.

@@TESTDRIVEFREAK Yes, the UK has the 1.5 tsi, but I never see them for sale here in Ireland, there's plenty of imports but not 1.5, I don't know why. I suppose I could order one, I know a dealer that can import cars. Is dsg 7 really a bad gearbox? So many folks have a lot of problems it seems, because 20 mins from me a skoda dealer has a 2019 1.6 tdi dsg 7 and I'd buy it but afraid of failure

I did wash the car, but next day the tree make my car bit dirty, interior no time or didnt found the vacuum cleaner in Italy, there was less car wash density than in germany

interior are cheap terribly even car are not so cheap as new and you can buy higher class stronger diesel class car 1-3year old used for same or less money like mazda 6,avensis,passat even ... even i prefer japanese because you will not be at mechanics so often like with germans

Buying a 3 year old diesel car (probably with high mileage) against new one with warranty, doesn't sound like good deal.

@@pioner4692 15000-50000km are not high mileage and point of story are that if you buy new Scala for 20000-25000euro and want to sale it next day it would lose 30% immediatelly on value

@@Mr11ESSE111 In my country (Slovakia) I can have brand new scala with this 1.0 tsi (85kw) for 14 200€ Which I think is just right price for this car, I would not pay anything more than that definitely not 20K+, 1.5tsi is starting at 17 800€ with 6 speed manual, and 1.6tdi at 17 400€, Those prices are for stock vehicles that dealers phisically have so you can not configurate them but still, It´s a fair value for money
