@@TheBicycleRider do you know how the headset play is adjusted on these new fs? The old ones had screws that could be adjusted from the outside, but now these are covered by the plastic cap. Thanks!

Not a thing wrong with Tiagra. I have it on one of my bikes. It’s smooth and never misses a shift. I really don’t miss the extra gear.

We have to agree The tiagra really seems to work well I never have missed a gear myself sometimes the trickle-down technology really works. I've had several people that insist on the higher level specs and I tried to let them know that the tiagra really is rock solid thank you for your comment

i have the same bike!!! oh i love it 😍🙌🏼🙌🏼.. i replaced the cogs in to 11-23 so small.. I used it a lot of times in century ride very comfortable bike 🚴🏼

I feel at $2200 it should come with a 105 group set.

Yes $2,200 does seem like a lot but there is just so much technology put into this frame and the shock absorption that comes with it. 105 is a fabulous group set but nowadays with a trickle-down technology you get a lot of quality and some of the lower tiered models. I used to be hung up on a specific model group set now it just seems like they all work good actually very good! I do understand your concerns but give it a try click the gears hit the brakes and I think you'll find it all works superb

TheBicycleRider I did and ending up purchasing this bike for my wife. I was surprised how well tiagra performed. My wife is very happy and I am a little jealous as this bike is quite comfortable to ride vs my Trek Emonda. Thanks for the review as it helped in our decision.

I’m a long time user of Roubaix I still ride my 2016 Roubaix with ultegra and di2 which I bought from around 1800USD second hand it weights in at 18 pounds and I’m still very in love with it

Tiagra is a good system. I had it on my Trek CrossRip 7 (2017) and it was flawless for 4 years. Plus that bike was 1600 back then.

The Roubaix name came from the famous Paris Roubaix stage race of the tour de France. This bike is still used by many teams as the go-to bike for the cobblestone sections. Very good question

Great review of bike. I am trying to decide between the Diverge 2,900 and Roubaix.2,200 I am a average rider in his 60s ugh!! both bike are great but I real like rocket red color!!!

Both are great bikes. Where you plan to ride could help you make this decision. The roubaix is probably faster when you have a good paved road to ride. The diverge is still good on pavement, and excellent on gravel too. If your roads have a lot of loose gravel, constuction work, or sand the wider tires on the diverge would give you better traction.

Yes $2,200 for the base model but you get a lot of bike for the money there's so much technology that goes into the frame and suspension of this bike It definitely makes it worth the money. And this day and age bicycles do cost a lot especially with this much technology and thought put into it. Give it a try I think you'll like it and if the price point is just too much for your budget I definitely do understand. $2,200 is a lot of money for anybody's budget but I know some of us spend that much just on a wheel set give it a try I think you'll like it
