That‘s a great van, with a great style.For me, this looks perfect for weekend trips. I would miss a toilet and a shower for longer trips and therefore I‘m converting a Skoolie. So thumbs up 👍👍 Best wishes from Germany Wolfgang

He said it has a porta potty that pulls out (with its own individual water source) and an outside shower (hot and cold water) that pulls out and has a curtain that wraps around...So, you would be covered!

Sportsmobile...Many years of 'Overland' experience..That Van is Amazing!!! i Realize the Sprinter has become quite 'popular' as well! Just a question though ..would The Company consider doing a 'PoP-Up'...configuration for the Smaller Metris 136WB Cargo Van in the Future ( would be Nice to Stand Up 'Straight' in the Van...)!???... Would be nice if they had a 4x4 'Option' on the Metris as well!.....I'm just the occasional 'Weekend Warrior'...& i believe the Metris would be 'Perfect' for a lot of 'Campers'. ( use it for their 'Daily Driver' too...). Cheers Canada.

Sweet ! I knew Sportsmobile was going to come up with some new ideas. After they stopped making the iconic Econoline in reality the fiberglass shell may be a better idea than the old factory metal vans ? I guess there are always pros and cons to it all I know that there are a couple of companies online that specialize in selling cutaways 4wd Ambulances with out the box is that something Sportsmobile would Work on or are they like Quigley. Who only does new vehicles just curious my Uncle did a Ford Quigley conversion to haul a camper back and forth to Alaska I actually like yours better as far as Stance and over all appearance as in reality my Uncle never really finished his as far as accessories etc in his defense he kept it simple for hauling Deer or whatever else he would hunt he had Quigley install their carpeted liners on the walls and head liner with insulation and a rubber floor mat then he did install a bench seat with seat belts for passengers but your couch/bed is a better idea IMO
@stuartfischbach94205 жыл бұрын
I had the 2003 4x4 model for a while ... the SMB has 10' smaller turning radius than the Quigley setup; even less than the standard E350 had.
@rydstallion755 жыл бұрын
It's very nice. I looked into these types of Vans because I assumed they should be cheaper than class b full camper vans. Ford econoline cargo van......around 30k or 40k dollars brand new........this thing, around 90k?!!! Doesn't make sense. It doesn't cost 50 thousand dollars to make a countertop, some cupboards and a bed!

How long is this vehicle?, according to fords website the cutaway E350 has a total length of 241.9 Inches which is way higher than on the Sportsmobile website it says its only 211.9 to 231.9 inches, which is the correct length?, cant find any info on this.

The camper does have some features but for the size it’s not really though out that good. The toilet appears to be lacking a real home. Overall I would give this a Doug score of 35 out 100. But for beer storage you get a 10 out of 10.

Some?. Whens the last time your camper was optioned with dynatrac axles, a transfer with quick disconnect to either axle, be able to climb moab and still fit in a garage

Starship Enterprise of vans. Cool...but anybody that can afford that...would just fly or do charter jets for their travels. They’d get out for the hikes, bikes, etc., but they aren’t gonna put up with the nut job eyes glued to a phone while passing in right lane going 90 mph idiots that have made travel so dangerous these days. They’re selling T shirts in Chicago that say “I survived I-57”.....it’s got that bad.

Love the concept. Hate the design. Gas engine. No diesel. What does it get; 4 mpg? You folks at SPORTSMOBILE need to hire Andrew St.Pierre-White to design you a rig that will actually work. Look up 4xoverland. Check out his build on his Landcruiser. Much smaller vehicle with much better use of space. The SPORTSMOBILE shown in this video is a joke compared to Andrew's Troopy. As a matter of fact everything coming out of Australia and South Africa, if it were available in the U.S., would put everybody making campers, and touring vehicles in the U.S. out of business overnight. Get with the program, guys.
@dougc1903 жыл бұрын
I know this is an old post but what do you want to do Ford doesn't offer a diesel what are they supposed to do EPA ain't going to let them put one in it. And I think they build a fine 4x4 rig. they've been doing it for years I don't think they need any help
