Well, the old one is still more fun. Looks better, high revs, noisy, slamming doors, doesn't even care if the passenger seatbelt is on.

The engine is spot on but i just feel they over styled this car. In essence they should have tweaked the old styling with this engine. It would have been perfect. It certainly will be more reliable than the fiesta and certainly won't catch fire like some have. I test drove this and an up GTI and went with the UP the cost vs performance, fun and package was better than the swift sport not to mention the 3 cyl engine sounded great.

Strange in America (I mean the continent not just a country) the boosterjet is the one that offers the 3cyl engine with 118HP the Sport version comes with a 1.4 liter 4cyl engine that produces 138HP, for the same amount the guy in the video mentions but in USD instead of pounds you get a way more cooler engine that the one that comes with the 3cyl boosterjet.

Its good but simply too expensive now. Its too close to the fiesta st. Value might be good in half a year or something.

Mine was 16k new, hardly expensive, I test drove a fiesta st and specced up a st3 to a similar spec to the swift sport and even with a hefty discount was over 22.5 k, I enjoyed the swift more to drive more punchy low down and saved myself over 6k,... Full retail price is close to the st1 but nobody really buys the Billy basic st1.

Everyone says how close it is in terms of price compared to the Fiesta ST but it is absolutely not the case, the Swift is far better specced than the entry level Fiesta ST and as illustrated above you'd have to spend an extra £5k to start the comparison. Not to mention I'd put money on the Suzuki being engineered for greater longevity.

@@spainter1985 I agree 100%,the equivalent fiesta to the swift sport is the st-line 140 which is still more expensive especially if you try to match the swifts spec, 5 doors, metallic paint led headlights etc etc and is much slower!. The St is a level up in terms of price and performance however when I drove one i thought it was OK, fast, handled and rode well but felt artificial in sport mode etc, seats too tight for me and I'm not fat!, whereas I got out of the swift sport grinning from ear to ear, like a proper old schoo hot hatch, still only done 300 miles in mine so not run in yet but just on quarter throttle to 3000rpm it has some punch and I'm really happy with it over the St not mention my bank balance is better off.

@@spainter1985 Yeah, I looked into a few offers. Its about 17.000€. I had the first Swift Sport and it was fantastic. 0-100 is A LOT below what Suzuki tells you. Was measured 7,5 sec. by a lot of youtubers. Im thinking about one now.

This is SUCH a ridiculous statement. I cannot understand why I hear it so much? The Ford Fiesta ST is 10 a penny - you see them everywhere. They look as dull as dish water and cost way more. The Suzuki I can tell you is SO much fun - it has character and I LOVE the fact you dont see them everywhere. It put it much more in line with a Mini Cooper S - but again - its more unique. I cannot think of another car that gives you this much fun for the money

Cheapest I found new was just under 15k from a car broker but the deal breaker for me was that it was a driven delivery, so I paid more and from a dealer for 16k with 3 miles on the clock, have seen used for as low as 13k so will be a real bargain soon imo

The title of this video is complete bullshit... Stop changing the titles of videos to make them look more recent than they are, in this case it has even made the video factually incorrect!! The 2020 Swift Sport has 130hp and a "mild hybrid system" using the alternator as a starter and auxillary electric motor for additional umph when you floor it. So yeah, the car reviewed is not a 2020 swift sport but the "old new" swift sport...

The 1.4t turbojet is an unproved engine..... could be a piece of trash or could be gold..... but i dont expect much from an engine made by chrysler. I liked the 1.6 that revved to 7.200rpm

The "boosterjet' engine has been in the Vitara for a fair while!!! Since 2015 And is made buy suzuki!
