Not many hot hatches still sell manual anymore, particularly outside of EU markets where it's still adequately popular :/ Sat in a 2008 one before and it was already quite a hot hatch despite the low power, not a Suzuki fan myself but secretly desiring one of these tiny things.

Fun fact: 10:05 - those halogen template black boxes are a fun thing. The reasoning for them being there is that they serve as a light beam adjustment whenever your going to a country with left-hand side traffic so you won't blind drivers there. What you have to do is: 1. Cut out those boxes from the manual 2. Stick them to the headlight as described in the manual (you hae to put them in specific places) 3. Voila - now your headlights won't blind anyone in left hand side traffic I have the 2018 Swift with halogens and that I assure you, that's what the manual in Poland says EDIT: A&B is a set for right headlight and C&D is for the left one. ***The more you know***
@alexeveryman50804 жыл бұрын

Id go back through numerous States if there was something I regularly see and I wanted a shot of. Ive even made the gamble... on NUMEROUS cars, stuff that was an 1-2hrs away. Just to get a pic. LOL, Some stuff... to THIS DAY... I wanted to steal a 450 SLC hardtop. It was 15yrs ago and it was sitting there in an abandoned lot in decent condition. I took shots of every car there. Easily 30 M-B cars in poor junk condition. Never took the top, cause I couldnt get the damn thing home. I look back now.. at the location, everything there is lone gone (cars, top, property). There is nothing crazy sbout crossing country lines to take a shot or do a review! Ive stalked cars for MONTHS... just to get a picture. Thats happened too often than I can count. In every situation... its some abandoned looking car. Tucked back somewhere. Where the property and the vehicle can see the road. Due to the fragility of the car, ya have to wait a good few months (past winter) to see what a plan for the car would be by its current owners. By month 5-6.. and tracking it everyday, hasnt moved, hasnt done anything, that is when I make a move. I just find a way to get into position at the least possible / suspicious time of the day / month / week / yr. I get the shot and I take off. THE NEXT DAY.... its gone. Doesnt matter what condition, what type of vehicle, age, mileage, complete... its gone. I am VERY proud to have gotten the shot. Across a Country, Id do it. As long as its something decent and Ive watched it for a while. Most times... Its about being patient. Today I caught a shot of something I really wanted... and I was in the right spot at the right time. I got the pic. I dont break laws... I dont get out of my vehicle.... I stay off owner property. Ive brought a Telephoto Lens.. to get a shot. But I always get the shot.

There is a reason why there is an Indian English option.. Suzuki sells swift and other vehicles in India in Partnership with an Indian brand called Maruti.. They are called Maruti Suzuki.. they are huge in India.. They hold more than 50% market share in India.. every second passenger vehicle sold in India is a Maruti Suzuki.. just to get a sense of how big Maruti Suzuki is in India get this.. Maruti Suzuki sells more vehicles (No of units) in India than Suzuki sells in rest of the world combined. And my Indian friends will know why there is a Mode D.. Ok sorry..

Moved from the US to Germany me and my girlfriend just picked up a 2016 Suzuki Swift for 9k EU used. I love this car, it's got the driving feel of a Honda Civic with a much more luxurious feel. The car is really sporty with a chain drive 4 cylinder engine. It's a little on the light side when it comes to power but the car is so light overall that it's a joy to drive. I take it on the autobahn going over 100mph pretty regularly. Even at those speeds it drives smooth but the high roof does create a lot of wind noise. Anything under 80mph is very quiet and you can reach up to 145mph safely although gripping the steering wheel slightly. I love this car, if it's in Mexico I might be interested in taking it to the US. There really isn't anything in the US that offers the same value and fun.

@Vipul Choudhary Exactly. 6-8 lakhs is the most a rational Indian would pay for a Swift. More than that, and we go into Sedans and SUV territory.
@siddharth.gautam5 жыл бұрын
@Vipul Choudhary But that'll not be just 'a Swift'. Companies don't expect to sell them in mass. Like VW alloted only 99 units of GTI to India, similarly Octavia RS was also sold in limited numbers. Though, GTI was a tough sell for VW owing to its exorbitant price (launched at 33L Ex, reduced to 23L and the last units were sold for 19.99L Ex), but still all were sold. Because there are enthusiasts out there. However, Swift Sport could perform better because it is not as high end as GTI and there's a decent number of enthusiasts who could shell out 15L for a little, fast and cheap to maintain hatchback. Also, notwithstanding the current slowdown in automobile industry, Maruti Suzuki has nothing to lose even if the Swift Sport fails in India. They must give it a try. Even modest success will encourage other makers to come out with similar offerings.

The 4x4 versions of the Swift are really popular in the more rural areas of Switzerland. You can see them everywhere.

You mean like Ignis? I have a Baleno 1.8 and I read there is also a 4x4?

in italian alps also a popular choise, i had the fdw version and in the past my mother had the 1.3 awd

How come? I have one, but it has the power very high up, it's difficult to manage on some inclines :/

@@Tonyx.yt. Mica troppo popolare, ma ce ne sono. Ci sono molte più Panda Cross e auto leggermente più costose, ma non mancano comunque. Difficile farla scivolare anche sulla neve
Australian seniors buy the Suzuki Swift like US ones buy the Honda Fit.
@freedomcaller5 жыл бұрын
I wanna trade my fit for this, it's got 7 less hp, but more torque, and it's lighter. Also my #1 complaint about my fit is road noise, and this is a cheaper car 🤯
@neocommenter5 жыл бұрын
Seniors in the US don't buy Honda Fits the hell are you talking about

?? Pretty sure see young women drive these more. I see more seniors drive hyundai i30s tbh

Honda made a great decision bringing the Fit to North America, they're known for their reliable sub compacts, it's their second top selling car behind the Civic.

80% of the Swifts I see in Sydney and Melbourne are P platers. It's a lot of peoples' first car

It's not that the car is cheap... It's that the car is reasonably priced.

is not the car cheap, rivals are just too expensive if you want a decent amount of optionals
@Pfirtzer5 жыл бұрын
@@Tonyx.yt. Problem with options is that they could fail or break down, getting them repaired or get the proper diagnosis is a pain in the back( read: expensive) Suzuki makes rreliable cars with enough options to be fun. It never broke down, before Suzuki's I had a premium Audi A6, terrible car, just horrible,cost me a fortune to get it running. I am not a fan of downsizing next car will definately not be a Suzuki I guess an older Subaru outback older one or a Honda.

That's because the HP of Indian Swift is just 84 HP whereas in US it's 110+. Also the safety standards were higher in US than the Indian Swift car's.
