The Camry is for someone who looks at a car purchase much the same way as they look at buying a big appliance. They want reliability and features at a good value. The fact that Toyota is working a little more sportiness into the Camry is a good sign. You can also get these for great prices as the mass exodus to SUVs has dealerships eager to negotiate when someone actually wants a car.
@revmatchtv4 жыл бұрын
Good point on pricing. There will definitely be room to negotiate on these as it's still a big volume vehicle for Toyota, if not at the levels it was before the CUV/SUV boom happened. This is a pretty solid choice in the sedan space which is mostly Japan, Korea and some German on the higher end.

Sabin Karki I would rather ask about total cost of the lease. Residual value for camry is about 16-17k, so you have to pay the difference between that and selling price (selling price) + (other stuff) - (residual value) = lease cost

Just picked up an SE NIghtshade. My first Toyota ever and I'm pretty impressed. Quiet with very smooth ride even on the stock tires that people complain about. Power is more than sufficient for my needs and seems to get pretty darn good gas mileage. Standard features such as apple car play and android auto and the standard safety features are a plus. Let's just hope it keep the legendary Toyota reliability

it's so refreshing to see someone review the basic trim. most reviews are the top of the line, super expensive trim. for example, i don't care about a Camry review where they're driving the TRD model. like, who buys the TRD Camry? not that it's bad or anything, i'm sure it's great, but people who buy Camry's care a lot about price. at least i do. sweet review.

I disagree with this review on the cabin sound quality. We have a 2020 SE and our biggest complaint is the road noise its very loud because of the tight suspension. I love the feel of the suspension, but the road noise can be terrible depending on the road surface. Asphalt roads are quiet, but when you travel on a gravel road it gets very noisy . The other Con I have is the stereo in the SE is bland and has a tin sound to it with poor base. The SE should have come with the JBL system the Avalon has to make up for the noise level of the car. Everything else has been fantastic those above are my only cons. I am also not a fan of the 0W-16W oil they designed the engine for as it is harder to find so you better have extra on hand. Mobil 1 is the synthetic brand I choose and I have yet to find this oil in a 5 qrt size. They only sell it in single 1qrt containirs which makes it more expensive. I would still buy this car over a Honda Accord any day because it has a traditional transmission that has 8 speeds. They had some problems very early on in the 2017/18 models, but have since corrected the issues. Honda chose a CVT and I hate the way they feel and do not trust CVT for longivity.
@glovedcop694 жыл бұрын
Has anyone experienced any issues with transmission like many have reported with the 2018 on gear hunting?
@gregoireansari66513 жыл бұрын
Lemme guess. You’re asking after hearing that boomer Scotty Kilmer cry about the transmission. That guy’s opinion is useless. Don’t take his thoughts as gospel. I haven’t had any issues with this car.
@glovedcop693 жыл бұрын
@@gregoireansari6651 😆 Lemme guess...you don't like Scotty... If you do a simple search there are videos of people having this issue. Besides that man loves Toyota's. Why would he bash one of America's top selling sedans? Any way this is an older post from what I understand this was a software issue Toyota fixed with earlier models so I assume all is good.

It is a good looking car, though I don't love the front grill treament. Interior is pretty decent as well. The lack of space is a bit surprising though. Glad you haven't tested the pedestrian safety on any live targets! Hahaha. Nice quick review. Seems the obvious choice for reliable basic transport.
@revmatchtv4 жыл бұрын
The trunk actually has a fair bit of trunk space for a sedan and Toyota made sure back seat passengers have enough head room. Toyota updated the interior and grill slightly for 2021, but they're not at dealers quite yet. Yes, I've avoided testing the pedestrian detection system!
