Since most people flock to SUVs these days, and there are fewer car choices, it's good to see that Toyota still makes a rock-solid car. And my 1995 Mercury Sable also will not allow the engine to redline in neutral or park.

Stumbled across your review of the 2020 Camry SE and enjoyed it. Thanks! It reminded me of my own checklist when at the ~26K price point comparing the 2019 Camry SE with the 2019 Accord Sport 1.5T which allowed NO factory upgrade options. Most Accord/Camry comparisons picked the Accord as best since they conveniently upgraded the Sport 1.5T to the extra $4500 Sport 2.0T. Held to $26K the Camry SE starts looking above average. 4.5 years later with stellar reliability I'd go as far to say well above average.

In Brazil we don't have the camry, and the accord is considered a very luxury car. But Corollas and Civics are popular. But because its a very boring car we call it "Vovôrolla" Vovô means Grandpa... its considered a car for eldery persons.

The Camry will probably have very few problems. That fact alone makes it a very desirable car. Most people don't want a car that has problems. The people who don't care if problems arise buy Dodge or BMWs.

The SE can have the keyless ignition with push start button. You just have to get the convenience package.

I got to rent a red SE a few weeks ago and I thought it was the best Camry I've driven so far...we've had a few in our family in the past, and yes, they are reliable as given. The TNGA platform did wonders to the handling for sure. Yes, its an appliance, but it is a much better one for sure. When I made the visit to Kansas, I rented a Nissan Versa and Ford Fiesta sedan; for sure, I would've rather had the Camry.

These used to come in beige, which was even less likely to offend. This gray you've got here could be considered edgy and daring by some prospective buyers. The full 0mph and up adaptive cruise control you desire is only enabled on hybrids and higher trims of gas-only.
